"Do not order from magsforless.com! I ordered three magazines on July 30, 2006. In October, I sent a message asking when the subscriptions would start. The response was that was processing, and I should begin to see issues shortly. Then by the end of November, still no issues, I emailed again. I was told that it can sometimes take up to 20 weeks for these to start, and that they should begin shortly. In January, 2007, when issues still have not arrived, I sent several more emails (over the course of 3 or 4 days), and have since gotten no responses. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!"

"Add my name to the list of people that have been scammed by this company. Ordered one magazine on June 24, 2006 and am still waiting for it. My wife had the same problem and warned me not to order from magsforless, but I didn't listen to her. Please, save your time and money and shop elsewhere for magazines."

"These people are scam artists. They took my money and ran. I ordered my magazines over 3 months ago and have not received anything. They don't answer emails at all. If you don't want to throw your money away, I would suggest you don't buy from this rip off company.
I feel totally cheated. I along with everyone else on here have lost money to these people. I guess these scammers are laughing all the way to the bank. I hate these people. I wonder how they could sleep at night?

"I placed an order in January 2006, and never received the merchandise. As everyone else, I requested an order status and was told there was a problem with the order - please wait another 10-14 weeks. At the end of 16 weeks, I requested another status. I was again told there was a problem and I needed to wait longer. In June, I deployed to Southwest Asia with the military and could no longer follow up. When I returned in November, I filed reports with both the Better Business Bureau and the Internet Crime Complaint Center. At the beginning of December, I sent the company an e-mail reqesting a refund. Within a few hours, I received a reply stating that my refund was processed and I should receive it shortly. I checked my CC account online, and magically, I did actually receive a refund.

My recommendation to all would be to file a complaint with both companies mentioned above (www.bbb.com and www.ic3.gov), wait some time, and then request a refund from the company.

Good luck, and if you are looking to purchase something from Magsforless.com, DON'T!!!

"My magazines I ordered have never shown. I spent $10 for a year of both Popular Science and Outdoor Life back in September but have yet to recieve any issues. Contacted customer service twice at the start of November and got very poorly written emails. My suggestion is to go somewhere else pay more and get your magazines quickly."

I looked at this site back in April before I ordered my magazines and thought that maybe the complaints on here were just a few people who got mad about the site and decided to get irate about it. So, I went ahead and ordered a few magazines and paid my money. 10-14 weeks later (the waiting period for your first issue) I am told there was a problem and I need to wait an additional 10-14 weeks. Well, here is it, the end of November and still I have yet to receive an issue of the 3 magazines I ordered.

And I think I got lucky the times someone actually sent me an e-mail (though it was a cookie cutter e-mail), because the customer support is almost non existent. If you do not heed my advice and attempt to order from them, first write down the numbers above, because you're going to want them in about 10-14 weeks.

My final advice: stay away from this company. If it seems too good to be true...guess what... it is.

"I placed an order through magsforless.com for a one-year subscription to Car and Driver magazine for $1.99. The website said "Your expected delivery range is: 09/21/2006 - 10/19/2006." On October 20, when I still had not received my magazine, I emailed customer service, and they did not respond. It seems that magsforless charges a tiny fee for its magazines and then does not deliver. They hope you don't take the time to complain because you only lost $2 or so. Don't be fooled! Magsforless is a scam!"

"Ordered $80 worth of magazines. My credit card was charged and the website reflected my order and listed delivery dates of early Sept. It is now November and no magazines have been received. I have tried two emails and a phone number without a reply. I have now contacted my credit card company to have the charge refunded.

"These guys are crooks. There is a good chance you will not receive your order or a refund! Placed order in January for 5 mags, waited 12 weeks, not one issue. Contacted them and was told order could not be fulfilled and I would receive a refund. Waited months for a refund. Finally contacted state Attorney General. Still no refund. Cannot contact by phone, only email. AVIOD this company, lots of bad reports!"

"Purchased magazine subscription on Feb. 4th. Waited the 10 - 12 weeks, plus another 3 months, and have not received magazines. The waiting period is conveniently longer than 45 days -- the period of time in which you can dispute an item via PayPal. Sent two or three emails inquiring about the order -- have not received any replies. Do not buy from them."
