"The NYU Game Center Open Library is a challenge for a gaming PC. Our computers see near constant use for at least 8 hours and day every day at maximum settings. "Ordered a Maingear Shift best configuration computer with the I5 4670K in September. Was impressed with the timely updates I received regarding the status of my computer as the build progressed. The computer itself when I got it is a work of art - even unpainted, you have to see the quality of it, and it is heavy as a side note - I work out so wasn't too concerned about that (I had a falcon northwest talon computer prior to this) It seems to be very well built to handle heat issues which is what doomed my prior computer. (the new talon had a side fan in the case which leads me to suspect that there were issues with the system as a whole. I was pretty mindful of that when searching for my next computer which is what drew me to maingear and their emphasis on heat management) the only minor annoyance I had is that the recovery option for the computer is built into the SSD itself, it is not on a separate media such as USB or DVD which I would have preferred. the support team was very responsive when I asked the steps if I had to get a new hard drive and how to recover. I do recommend that based on this, to get the largest hard drive space that you can afford. Other than that what else - all USB 3.0 ports on computer (gigabyte Z87X-UD5H ) I installed three data drives and have three external hard drives - no issues so far. the Fed ex guy when delivering the computer was carrying it by hand and I was terrified the computer may have been damaged but the packing was solid enough and there were no issues on the computer. Im in new York and will definitely be purchasing from these folks in the future. "

"I'm a software developer and gamer and I generally buy high-end systems to satisfy my dual needs. I had become disgusted with my previous supplier (Alienware) because of long phone wait times and poor customer service. I did some research and bought Maingear because of the personal service indicated by the reviews. I was not disappointed. A phone call gets a live person on the first try, and my question wasn't redirected -- the person who answered the phone answered the question. "I Purchased a Maingear Vybe-SS without knowing anything about processors, motherboards, graphics cards or any PC component's function. This made customizing a PC difficult. I am an equity trader and not one who is interested in playing games or anything of the sort. I do not remember exactly how I wound up purchasing a PC from Maingear but I am lucky to have done so because Maingear's Technical Support is incredible. By "incredible" I mean the personnel in this department define the words "patient", "kind", and most importantly "helpful".

This review is about Maingear's Technical Support because without them and the support they have provided, I would not have been able to deal with and fix the issues that have come about in using my PC as an equity trader, or what I believe is a capacity not typically the norm for those purchasing a Maingear PC.

My Maingear PC is a flawless machine, supported by the best support team in the business. Think about it. You cannot have one without the other. I got what I paid for and much more and have been extremely pleased with my purchase. MAINGEAR IS THE STANDARD BY WHICH I JUDGE ALL OTHERS and will purchase any PC I may need in the future from the best system builder, Maingear.

"We just received our new MainGear Pulse 14! What a difference customization makes!! :D
We have been looking at all of the ‘big name’ units for some time. We were waiting for the 4th generation chips to come available and had very specific system requirements. Last month, we even went so far to purchase a top of the line laptop from another company (total cost was the same as the Pulse 14). While it was well constructed and built to the maximum configuration possible, it just did not work as we expected nor needed. We sent it back and felt that we were just going to have to wait longer until 'someone' created a unit that had the specs that we had to have.
This all changed following a lesson in gravity and first-hand experience with Newton’s laws of physics. We dropped our current laptop. As a result we lost half the screen. The need to replace it became an urgency. After extensive research on custom built laptops, we decided on MainGear. There was a significant amount of hesitation in spending this amount of money with an unfamiliar supplier but the reviews, the user comments, and after talking to the rep, we pulled the pin in the order.
First, let me say that the customer support throughout the sale was excellent. Not only did our representative (Shannan) take the time to listen to what we wanted to do and our requirements, he made suggestions on the final build. Next, because of the issue with our current system he went out of his way to check the components of the proposed build and call us back within minutes to confirm the inventory. We ordered the system, customized the paint (oh is the red slick looking!), and we got exactly want we wanted.
It was REALLY tough to wait for the delivery. However, the constant email updates helped and we knew where we were at throughout the entire process. Best of all the build was completed earlier than estimated and we received the computer last night, 3 days EARLY, via FedEx. The anticipation of its final delivery was reminiscent of when I was a child waiting for Christmas morning. SO EXCITED!!
It is BEAUTIFUL, it came fully configured and ready to go. The fit and finish are excellent. Packaging and documentation were professional and spoke of a company that cares about its final product and the total customer experience. We spent last night loading software and putting it though some early testing. It worked better than expected! Today is the first test under a load and I have every confidence it will perform spectacularly.

"Ordered an F131 from Maingear back in April. The main reason I chose Maingear was because of their outstanding customer service. I was very pleased with the system - it arrived a few days late (due to problems encountered during the burn-in process) but was in great condition and extremely well built. The case is exceptionally solid and well packed, even though this was a micro-ATX case with a Titan graphics card. The tubing for cooling was very well done, and all around a superb job. I am very happy with the purchase. The F131 is a perfect size to combine power, great cooling, and portability. I received several email updates during the building process, and also received a helpful binder with an introduction to my system and a checklist of all the Maingear checks that were made by the technicians on the system - which was very thorough. I have no complaints apart from the fact that I had to call a few times to get updates during the burn-in process which took a few days, however I must reiterate that I have been very happy with the system so far, and will definitely be going with Maingear for my next purchase down the line."
