"On 12/29/2011 I placed an order for several items including two of each of the following:

AquaticLife HID Metal Halide Lamp, 150W, 20K
AquaticLife 45.75 inch 420/460nm Actinic 54 Watt T5 Fluorescent Lamp

All items were listed as In Stock; however, the following day I received an email informing me that the Actinic bulbs were on back order and should be shipped out within a week. When I received the shipment I was also missing one of the HID's. I email customer service and was informed that they forgot to mention the HID was also on back order, but I should receive it within a week.

I did not receive the back ordered items until 1/24/2012 (almost a month... not a week). I sent several emails during the month, each time I was advised one more week. I don't expect to be offered any type of discount, but an apology would have been nice, or the back ordered items could have been shipped faster than using Ground Service.

Ironically, the status of all items remained as In Stock the entire month. I will not say that I won't order from MarineandReef again, but if I need something that is time sensitive, I will look elsewhere as the status of items on the site don't seem to be correct.
