Placed order for a phone and spare battery, after around a week I contacted them to check on dispatch, only to be told the phone was discontinued! Thanks merimobiles for not contacting me to inform me! (after I paid extra for fedex express shipping)

I had the option of another phone and I wanted to buy an extra battery, only to be told they cannot ship extra battery's due to safety regulations (why bother and make it possible to buy as an extra at checkout then???!)

"I personally had a good shopping experience with Merimobiles.
My order (Lenovo s750) was processed within 3 days. The singapore post took like forever to ship it to Greece...(received April,25). I should choose a faster method for some bucks more.
The phone came intact, fully working. I had a minor problem with booting, probably because of the custom-installed rom. I contacted the tech and we found a solution.
Every time I contacted merimobiles they ansered very kindly. They were not too fast, but i assume that's because of time zone difference and probably because a big customer volume.
Overall satisfied, i would buy again."

"I purchased a iNew i6000+ phone and have used it now for a little over 2 months. I’ve had both good and bad experiences with this phone.

First the good;
The first month I had this phone was great. It has good screen quality, bright and clear, very fast response and worked great with many apps and on my StraightTalk network in the USA.

Then the bad;
After the first month it started restarting itself about once per week. Then these reboots escalated to where it was restarting itself more and more often. At about 2 month time, this phone was restarting itself anywhere from 8 to over 20 times a day! In many of the restarts it would just hang up and do nothing, staying fixed at the “iNew” logo screen or at the colorful circle once it booted up. And many, many times while using FaceBook, or email, the unit would just lock up and do nothing. At this point it would go thru many restarts. Finally I had to remove the battery, wait a minute, reinstall it and try turning it on again.
This worked every once in a while. The other times I had to completely leave the battery out and wait about 10 minutes and try again… In one of the times I open the back, 2 screws came flying out! (not well built…) I did put the screws back in but not before one of the screws dented the metal speaker a bit… I’ve never dropped this phone and have taken good care of it as I want it to last as long as possible…
I am so frustrated and incredibly disappointed. I need a good phone and this is not it… There seem to be some sort of hardware malfunction or short circuit as it doesn’t boot up correctly all the time. And while using it, it locks up and eventually restarts… what a mess…
I emailed the company to return this unit for either a fix or a replacement on May 1. Today is May 7 and I’m still waiting for an answer. I’m so disappointed I wasted almost $300.00 on this when I could have use that money to buy a reliable good phone from a local (US) company…

-Update. On 5-7-14 I received an email from Merimobiles tech support requesting more information on my phone issues. Based on that conversation their website requests for product returns was not working, so this explains why my request was not answered.
Now I'm in the process of either getting this phone fix, replaced or a refund.
I'll update this review with more information soon. Thank you.

-Update 8/28/14; I sent this phone back to China late May 2014. I received it back late August 2014.

Based on my conversations with the technician taking care of this issue, the phone was repaired by the manufacturer. They said the problem was a software issue. They also said the phone was tested to work correctly.

When I got the phone the battery had 50% power.
I powered it up and turned on Bluetooth so I can transfer my contacts from my old phone.

Then the phone locked up and restarted on it's own. It wouldn't go past the "Inew" logo screen. It kept rebooting itself. So much for having this phone fixed...

I notified the technician at MeriMobiles and he had me to fully charge the battery and clear the cache and restart the phone. This didn't work and the phone restarts when it wants to.

When it does boot up normally and you are working with it, it freezes at random and restarts.

I have resigned myself to the fact I've lost almost $300 US dollars on this lemon.

Things I've learned from this experience;

1. Never buy from a company that is not located in the same geographical area you live in. Otherwise you will be shipping back to China or where ever at your cost and dealing with customs in your country. Good luck!

2. Always get an extended warrantee for at least a year.

3. Don't be cheap, save your money and buy a local phone with a good, local reputation such as from Galaxy, Apple, LG, or Microsoft.

4. I will NEVER buy from another company outside the US and NEVER again from MeriMobiles.

Problems at first, sent my Paypal payment and no reaction or news after 3 days. After contesting the payment with Paypal, they finally responded by refunding.
The best way to contact them is by chat (they're open 24 hours). Once contact made everything went smoothly, received my phone within 7 days and am very happy with it.

"i ordered Huawei G610S on 6th of Jan and my problems started once i received the phone. It was not working well since it arrived and after a software update it totally died. After some tries with the tech support to fix it we decided that nothing can be done and i sent it back to Merimobiles. According to the tracking information it has arrived in China on 12 March and after all my tries to contact Merimobiles and promises that they will check and pick it up i received no info, mail or anything from then, despite the fact that each time i was promised that they will check it. Already sent several mails, twice more chat sessions...but nothing. I am really disappointed from the support they provide and i am already sure that i have lost the money i spent on this phone."
