"Very good online company. I had no problem with the placing and receiving an order. Product I god was very good packed. It arrived on promising time. It works very good. I will do more business."
"Ordered "17" Monitor IBM/HP/NEC/Dell/Sony/Gateway/Viewsonic/etc. Grade B" online 01/17/03, order processed 01/21/03, shipped 01/21/03, arrived 01/25/03. Although the monitor was rated a "B" I would say it is a low "A"! Very very minor burnin (windows logon dialog box slightly visible), case is very clean, the base had tabs that were broken, but still sits in the base upright. The cost could not be beat at $67($31.95 + $35.50 shipping), even at local shops just looking for used or refurbished monitors! Shipping cost was high but packaging was great (I am wondering if the base was broken before packing because box was in great shape), and total cost cheaper than anything local. I do have one complaint...Fed Ex Home Ground delivery left box outside apartment door without getting a signature! Luckily a neighbor saw it and put it inside their apartment and left me a note! Dealing with the hassle of a missing shipment is not fun when you need a replacement part for your computer."
"I honestly tried to be understanding.
Bought a Dell P1110 Monitor from them in January.
#1 Monitor arrived with a massive scratch in the screen. Had to return at my own expense of $60 to have it replaced.
#2 Monitor became blurry only months after receiving it. Lost it's ability to focus. Returned at my own expense of $60.
#3 Monitor also starting to lose focus a few months after being replaced.
Contacted merkortech via e-mail, they ignored it. Called them and got an RMA # and was told that they would have Fed Ex pick up this monitor.
Great--1 week goes by, and no phone call. Call Merkortech again, and they don't remember speaking to me the week before, and tell me they won't send Fed Ex to get the monitor. I'm a bit ticked by now, and tell them that I was promised that it would be picked up, I even told them I would upgrade to another monitor to get out of this potential rut. All is good, Fed Ex will call.
Another week goes by, no Fed Ex, no reply to e-mails. All I can say is that I am glad that I purchased it on a citi-bank card. I hate to do it, but if they still refuse to contact me after being EXTREMELY patient and non-argumentative, they can deal with the cc company.
I hope that I can edit this within the week with a good response."
"I also ordered a Nokia 445Xpro "B" grade monitor. I was stoked on the deal for a 21" monitor. They shipped the sameday I placed the order. Lot's of notification via email, tacking #, etc. Monitor is listed as "B" grade and does have some screen burn in noticable with a white background. It is not noticable with any other colors, especially games. All in all, it was a fair deal and Merkor properly represented the product and shipping/packaging was great and timely."
"This was my first purchase with Merkortech and it was a good one. Ordered this past weekend, shipped Monday, arrived today (Thursday) in perfect condition….I know it is used only because it so states on your site and the box. The monitor is in terrific condition…beautiful picture. I appreciate the fast service, quick e-mail status on order progression, on-site order checking and honest representation of the condition of goods. I will highly recommend to others."
"First let me say...Wow. I ordered the Nokia 445xPro 21" monitor due to good reviews/hitachi tube. It does 1600x1200 resolution @ 95hz! It was listed as a "B" grade monitor...but this thing is in flawless condition, looks brand new. I use this for hardcore gaming and every other type of home use. Graphics and text are top notch. Uses Bnc or Svga cables. The built-in USB hub is coming in handy also.
Merkortech is becoming fairly popular among the enthusiast crowd for good reason. They stand ready at the phones to help out and inform. A fellow Alex(Albert?) has been particularly helpful. He solved a minor monitor cable issue right away. Sending me a new cable free via fed-ex. Highly recommended merchant.
Edit: Forgot to mention that product packing was superb. First with insulating plastic, then with thick spray foam to fill in all the gaps in the box."
"I got my first used monitor from Merkor SONY G500. WOW! Great price and excellent packaging. Honestly, didnt expect that item will be like new. Also, 1 year warranty means a lot to me. I wasnt able to find any other retailres with same option for free. Overall, if I need more monitors for me, my friends or my family I know where to shop. Thank you Merkor. "
"I ordered a G500 21" monitor on 11/27/02. It was at my house a week later, which I was pleased with. At first I thought there were some problems with the monitor, but after I examined it more closely, it turned out to be just fine. I am very satisfied with their customer service and recomend this company to anyone."
"Bought a NOKIA 445XPRO grade A. Excellent deal. Arrived packaged well, in a reasonable amount of time. My Credit card was initially declined, they held the order for me, but I had to call them to see what was up. response was prompt (switched cards).
Looks brand new. Posted on F@twallet and @****@****"
"I bought a Nokia 445X Pro from thes guys and when it arrived there were parts ratlling around inside. I pulled the monitor out and the tube had been smashed (not broken) up into the case. Needless to say it did not work. I called them back and they assured me that they would contact fedex to initate a claim and would send me a new one and pay for shipping. Well, I called fedex out of concern and they said they had never gotten a claim. Today their phone lines are down and they haven't responed to my numerous emails and phone calls. I paid with debit card so no recourse there. I as well spoke with Albert and he was the one who assured me all would be well. I only hope it was the same albert spoken about in the above testimonial. Perhaps I am wrong and they are in fact processing the order, but I have the sinking feeling that something is afoot. So here I am clinging stubbornly to the fact that people out there should do business the right way, all the while knowing I am being screwed.
***Update***
Wow, Here I am badmouthing them and he calls me to tell me my tracking number and the package is already in Maine to be delivered tomorrow. Completely suprised me. Totally thrilled. Let's hope that it is in good shape."
"The purchasing part was great, but just a month or so later when the monitor decided to start dying, is when the nightmare began. After many many unanswered phone calls, and emails, I had no choice but to contact the better business bureau. It was at that time that Blue Star Productions (promotion company)called me and gave me new numbers to try for Merkor. After many more unsuccessful tries, Robin at Blue Star finally got someone from Merkor to call me. That resulted in a lot of wasted breath on my part and I still got no satisfaction from this person. Then I called Merkor and the phone was answered by Albert Arustamyan, that is when the entire picture changed. He was 100% sincere in his apologies for all of my inconveniences. He arranged to have a new monitor shipped to me and had Merkor pay the shipping both for the one I received and for the bad one I was shipping back to them. He completely restored my faith in this company and buying used products. Albert was completely helpful and he is an asset to the Merkor, Inc. outfit. They should be very glad he is a part of their company. He is the only one out of the 3 or 4 people I spoke with that took the inititive to help me and get something done even if it meant putting his job in jeopardy by making me promises and seeing that those promises were kept. What a nice man!!!!"
"I ordered a refurbished 19" monitor. A couple days after it arrived, it had problems. I had to pay shipping to return it, which means I basically paid $130 for the monitor, and $80 is total shipping costs. A week later, the monitor was returned to me, but it has the same exact problem! It appeared the vendor just took the monitor, tinkered with it a little bit, and then shipped it back. When I pointed this out, the vendor offered to ship me a different monitor from a different manufacturer, but made with the same tube (and hence, the same quality and features). They would also pay for return shipping. I accepted that offer, and the new monitor does work well. There is some slight discoloration, but I can accept that, since it is, after all, a used monitor. However, if I had to do it over again, I would instead has spent the extra money and gotten a new monitor instead."
"I ordered an NEC Multisync FE950 from them on 9/27/02, and received it 10/03/02. Taking into account it was shipped ground, and there was a weekend in there, I'd say thats great. I am happy with the monitor, and the packing job. Their prices are amazing, though shipping is a little high. I think that can be attributed to their high packaging cost, since it did not arrive in an original NEC box. I would DEFINITELY order from them again. My only complaint was that I cheaped out and got the 19", when I could have had the 22" for $100 more. (didn't see that until it was too late) Just be warned, there is no email from them reguarding your order. You have to log into their site to check status and get tracking numbers. But it was promptly updated, so it was fine."
"I ordered an NEC Multisync FE1250 22" monitor and it was shipped out promptly and in perfect condition. They provide a one year warranty on the refurbished monitors they sell. The prices are excellent for what they offer."
