"I have yet to receive my ssd harddrive, When I emailed, I was told the item had been back ordered. Once it shipped with Fedex the travel is excruciatingly slow.
To answer "How was my experience", It would be nice to be notified when an item is back ordered, or when there is a change of status.
What is with the " Fedex Economy Shipping" on MicroCenter site it just said FEDEX, not Economizer Freight.
Anyway, from the early 90's to 2002 I had a very good relationship with Micro Center, but that was a brick and mortar store.

"I've been working with Micro Center for over 30 years. Buying computers, or the programs that insure I'll never have a problem...I've never had a problem! For the home computer, Micro Center is like having an "IT" department at home. The ESET computer protection program has run flawlessly for over 30 years. "I got a notice through MC that my subscription was expiring and I needed to renew. So I did. I selected a renewal and paid online. MC person told me I could do it myself or I could bring in the CPU and MC would do it. I waited over two weeks for instructions, finally after 3 weeks I got a notice on my computer screen that my protection had expired. So I called MC and got a person who was good enough to guide me through the renewal process. I’m not pleased that MC wasn’t more helpful between my first call and having to call to ask about getting the renewal. I should have been assisted when the renewal code became available. I am thankful to the person who helped me when I called the second time. "
"If I order something online from say Harney.com I get a confirmation email within about 90 seconds. I can see me order details in my account. I can see status of things like received, processing, delayed, shipped and my shipping information is available. Micro Center doesn't do this and it's ridiculous. I got my confirmation email 4 to 5 hours after I placed the order. For several days after I placed the order it said "will ship on 1/24/19” and it appeared that there were two of the item that I ordered not one. On 1/25 it still said "will ship on 1/24” - a date with had passed. I got an email indicating that my order has been shipped which included tracking number. The website now says it's shipped and has reverted back to 1 item but still no tracking number online. So for anyone who may not have saved that email they no longer have tracking information.
I selected 2 day shipping and clicked the little button to apply the selection but when I got to the final screen it had reverted back to standard. I went through this multiple times to make sure I wasn't missing something. Nope. Just would not let me have 2 day shipping. And standard shipping is apparently 11 days. A timeframe which I could not find anywhere in their website.
Comparing Micro Center to all the other retailers I buy from online (even excluding Amazon) Micro Center seems to be about 15 years behind. They need to update this system. If a customer or item isn't eligible for 2 day shipping, there needs to be an alert that explains it. They need better order status communication."

"When I went to renew my ESET computer protection it was confusing when I was directed to the Micro center site.
I think when you click the renew tab on the ESET notice there should be a clearer message that you will be redirected to the Microcenter site for renewal. I tried to go back to the ESET site several times to renew "
