"Every Order I have placed (So far 3) has never arrived ontime, I always pay for express shipping, etc... and order well before the event or Holiday when I want to give the books as gifts, and not one has come on time. Last one for a special anniversary gift, arrived a week after the party, even though it was ordered 2 weeks before the event with 2 day shipping. Same happened for the one for my Dad's Birthday. Big deal they refund the shipping since they were late, I would have much rather had the books as they were gifts, and all 3 times I've had to go and buy another gift as the special books I made my loved ones didn't make the parties. "I needed to quickly create a photo album from a medical mission in which I had participated, and was hoping it could be used as a fundraising tool.
Never having done a photo book before I researched all the major online resources before choosing Mixbook. Very simple and intuitive to create with attractive templates. I especially liked the fact that Mixbook analyzes your images for quality and gives you a heads up as you're sizing the image; they place a yellow "!" over the picture to warn you that it may not reproduce well. You can then size it smaller, and the warning disappears when it's acceptable. As I was working from cell phone images that had already been compressed from Photobucket the file sizes were, shall we say, pitiful. I had my doubts about the finished quality, but online it looked quite good so I took a chance.
Arrived on time and very impressively packaged. Looked EXACTLY as it appeared while I was creating it. Very happy, and I've had nothing but compliments from all who've seen the book. Would totally use Mixbook again!"
"I wanted to try with creating a calendar. it came earlier, than the promised date, which was great. The pictures were looking great when looking at it straight on, but when looking sideways, they looked kind of like a negative. That does not appeal to me. I have made several photo books through Apple and they do not look like that. Not sure if it is the paper or the print process causing that. Please fix this process, as it is a flaw."
