"The staff was very courteous and explained everything succinctly. Great customer service. "
"The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. They were confident in their diagnosis of the problem and their ability to fix it to my satisfaction. I have come here several times with different vehicles and always left feeling pleased with my transaction."
"The service people were very knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient."
"Mr Tire -
Went there two times. At checkout, they said they replaced a stripped bolt during the oil change. Asking how much it would be, they said "Nothing."
Flash forward a year later. During a routine 18.95 oil change, I get a call from Alfredo. He says, "We noticed a license plate light out, so we are going to take care of that for you". I agreed, a 3 second phone call.
I figured they would throw in the bulb at cost, or slightly more.
When I arrive, he tells me that they replaced the other bulb as well. Cool. Then, he asks me for $60. I say, "I didn't expect it to be that much, I would have liked to know you were charging me $20 for a $3 light bulb".
He says, "Well we didn't get that far into that."
I continue to let him know it was incorrect to not tell me the price over the phone, particularly because it was 5 times more expensive than the bulb could be bought.
He offered me another 18.95 oil change next time, since the price would be higher.
"i don't think ill be coming back here".
"Well i take offense to that. I'm very offended by this, because i want you to come back. I need business here and like I said, we didn't get into that."
Then he offers me 2 dollers off the 14.95 bulb replacement, and that was it.
That is until I mentioned he replaced the second one without my consent.
He took off the charges after calling him, Alfredo, the General Manager, out on it.
If it weren't for the 2nd bulb that he took the liberty of replacing, he wouldn't have done anything. I really wanted to reach across the counter and slap him in the face, as he was being extremely defensive and hostile-- not cooperative. Instead of offering to take off the labor charge, he was trying to get by on a $56 oil change-- oh yeah and it included 7.99 dollars worth of light bulbs.
He said to my mother very sarcastically, "YOU HAVE A VERRRRRY NICE DAY" while we were walking out. Not "You all"-- "You". I hope the owners, who I previously dealt with, see this.
I had to point out that I was in retail and know the rule is you never charge someone for something without naming the price. Even if you try to make a 5 second phone call an easy $40 upsell. I'll never go back, and never let anyone I know go there again.
Case in point: I would have paid $56 for this guy's lack of ethical selling and more importantly, management, if it were not for him taking the liberty of replacing the second bulb with no consent.
Boycott this place until this guy is fired. The customer is always right-- unless your Alfredo."
"Kevin King and his associate Randy did a wonderful job explaining what the problems with my CRV were, how they intended to fix it, and the cost incurred. Quite honestly, they corrected a large number of issues that had been falling through the cracks at the dealership. It was without a doubt the best customer service I have ever received and I plan to tell everyone I know in the area that Mr. Tire on Military Rd is the place to have any car repair completed. Thank you for a job well done."
"Work always done on time and at a fair price."
"Fast work done right the first time. Opened at 7:30 so I can go in before work and not be late."
"a simple oil change took 1-1/2 hours, way too long, and twice as long as in the past.
I will try Midas across the street next time. And they are cheaper, too."
"Mr. Tire treated me professionally and honestly and helped me resolve an excessive wear issue with Dunlop Tires, even though they were no the retailer who sold me the tires. Steve was a pleasure to work with throughout the process."
"Will GLADLY return to this location! Very polite, even funny staff and took care of my (aggressively lowered) car with no issues!"
"I always receive really great service at the Treadquarters in Mount Airy, MD. My most recent visit was by far the best auto service experience I've ever had. Kemper and his great staff treated me with respect, kept my informed and went way out of their way to locate some very hard-to-find custom parts and even took care of a few things without me asking - no charge! Many visits here without a single complaint!"
"Prompt service. Got parts ahead of time for my needs. Windshield wipers replaced seem sort of cheap and leave streaks."
"I was running late and wouldn't you know it a nail in my tire and the low air pressure light on. Stopped in Mr. Tire with no appt. Hot Fresh Coffee( FREE!) they handled it quickly and I was on my way. Good spin on a bad situation. "
"Awesome tires. Great service!"
"We just moved to the area and I needed tires and brakes for my SUV. I shopped around for pricing and I have to say, hands down, Mr. Tire beat out all the other competition from a pricing side. Plus it was the closest to my house, which was an added benefit.
The only thing that I found to be slightly annoying was that I couldn't just drop in and have the work done. I had to schedule an appointment and leave the car with them. I had some time off and it worked out, but in the past with another dealer, I could just show up and have the work done while I waited. Only because I had this previous experience did I have that expectation. In the end, it probably worked better this way since I didn't have to sit at their location while the work was done.
I was to have both my tires and brakes worked on. Thankfully, they were able to check the brakes and discovered that they were in great working order and didn't need replacing. That saved me $300+ alone.
Their on the rim and out the door pricing really is true and in the end saved me money compared to other dealers in the area. I will be getting tires for my other car shortly and I will be coming back to them to have it done."
