Because Mydigitaldiscount's website plays cute with PayPal, I have to blow off a day to wait for a delivery from Mydigitaldiscount.

On 08 August 08 I ordered from Mydigitaldiscount (Oswego NY) and from two different web sellers in California. Mydigitaldiscount offered PayPal, so I used it -- and discovered after I OK'd PayPal that Mydigitaldiscount's relationship with PayPal meant that it might be 24 hours before MDD would release the merchandise.

I paid MDD and the two other sellers for 2nd-Day Air shipping.

PayPal paid MDD on 08 August 08, but MDD didn't record the transaction as paid until 11 August 08. The tracking number reveals that the 2nd-Day shipping I paid for will arrive on 13 August 08. I received one of the California sellers' shipments on 11 August 08, and the second California seller's shipment will arrive on 12 August 08.

If Mydigitaldiscount had told me before I committed to PayPal that there would be a delay, I could have used the PayPal plugin to generate a credit card number, or I could have used a credit card. Then, maybe, Mydigitaldiscount in Oswego NY could have gotten the merchandise to me, on the East Coast a few hundred miles from Oswego, as fast as the two California shippers who are 2500 miles away as the crow flies."

I'm an international customer(that's what they call customers who do not live in the states...) and the fact that I could pay also directly with my debit card was a great plus. The store was also one of the few online stores to sell all the products the vendor has. Their choice to go with FedEx is by far good for their business and for the customer (despite the price).
