"The company is knowingly selling fake knockoff remotes. I purchased a Sony TV remote from them thru Amazon that would not take the Sony firmware updates. I returned that and purchased one from a company called Electronic Adventure. After receiving the order conformation from Electronic Adventure I find out that it's actually New Remotes, Inc. Why do they feel the need to have a fake name?"

Imagine my surprise and disappointment when I received an INFERIOR REMOTE that this company said was a replacement and would work the same as my original remote. The remote sent is CLEARLY INFERIOR as it does not have HALF THE FUNCTIONS I had on my original remote.
Unfortunately like so many other customers, I did not look at the REVIEWS on this company or I would have seen this is a common complaint. THIS COMPANY ADVERTISES ON THEIR SITE THAT THEY HAVE THE OEM PRODUCTS THEN SEND SOME OTHER PRODUCT THAT IS NOT EVEN REMOTELY AS FUNCTIONAL!!!
Before sending another remote rather than the remote ordered, the company could have informed me they did not have the remote I ordered and could have asked if I wanted to try the one they had-before sending it to me!!! They had my email address, my home address and my phone number so there is no excuse for not contacting me about this change.
NOW, besides charging me for shipping this remote to me, they want me to PAY FOR SHIPPING THE REMOTE BACK TO THEM BECAUSE OF THEIR "MISTAKE" of sending me a remote that is not the one I ordered!!!

"I ordered several TV remotes and one of them had a major problem, I emailed New Remotes and explained the problem, they replied back requesting pictures of the remote of which i sent to them.
New Remotes replied back stating that they would be sending out a replacement remote and that they appreciated the pictures i sent them so they could look into the problem.
All of this took place over 4 emails over a few hour time period. This is outstanding customer service. I would give them a higher rating but the highest is a 5 star.

I wanted, ordered and paid for a particular SHARP GA600WJSA remote to replace my original. The the photo and model # were identical to mine, so I placed an order.....$13.49 after a 10% discount plus a rather expensive $7.99 shipping. But worth it to get what I wanted.
At no time during the purchase process did I see any caveats or fine print that the item I saw was no longer available.
At no point did I see online that REMOTES INC/ELECTRONIC ADVENTURES could or would substitute a different product for what they offered and I bought.
The invoice clearly states the particular model # I paid for.
The remote that arrived today is NOT the remote I ordered and does not have the same features such as size, easy-to-read large white buttons, a hefty sturdy device, and decent size. I got a smaller, inferior Sharp LCDTV GJ221.
Remotes Inc could have emailed me that the item I wanted was not available after all, and did I want to cancel my order or accept a substitute. They did not.
Had they done so as good business practice, I would have canceled the order and gone elsewhere to get what I wanted.
Remotes Inc merely substituted without warning, and included a generic printed notice that "your original remote is not available" but no need to worry. Enclosed is a full function replacement remote".
This is nothing less than bait and switch. If you don't have the remote model you listed, why do you advertise it as available ?
Why do you not notify a buyer in advance that you will ship a substitute item?
I am furious. Buyer Beware.

"I ordered a Magnovox MC003 remote. This site showed a MC003 in the picture while other sites showed a new compatible remote for less money. So I ordered the correct original as shown. The new remote was a compatible remote, not the one pictured. A note said "Enclosed you will find a full function replacement remote". I wasted $12.00 because I could have gotten the same remote for less money with out shipping. "
"Review for new remote replacement for Toshiba SE-R0265. I just got my new remote (BR3T0) for my old DVD Toshiba Model D-R410. I installed new batteries and I tested out all the buttons from the remote including the REC button. Everything works perfect. It will take a bit of time to learn the new position of the buttons but I’m glad that I got my new remote. Thank you very much and keep up the good work.
