We'd tried another major name brand one in a local store but I read there has been significant issues with fumes causing health issues so I was trying to find something else as comfortable but safer. I was hesitant to order a mattress online but after reading about the Novosbed no-hassle return guarantee, I realized I had nothing to lose by giving the Harmony mattress a try. It's one of the best things I've ever done! I have allergies and was worried about off gassing from foam so the low VOC variety that is used in their mattresses was important to me. There was some smell when the plastic was first removed so we left it in another room for a couple of weeks. It didn't take long to dissipate. Once we got a chance to sleep on it, we were very impressed by how comfortable it was. It was summer and we did find even the Harmony, which is the coolest one listed, to be a bit too warm but that was remedied by putting a fibre bed on top. It gives us a bit of an air break and now it's the most comfortable mattress we've ever owned! I have sore hips and my back hurts when I sleep on it for very long so I spent most of my nights on my old mattress tossing and turning, trying to get comfortable. Not anymore! Even though this style of mattress is listed as being only moderately comfortable for a back sleeper, both my husband and myself find it very comfortable for both side and back sleeping. I wouldn't go back to a regular mattress ever again! After trying it out for a few weeks with our old foundation, we ordered the wood foundation from Novosbed and discovered that it's even better once it has a proper base underneath it.
One of the free pillows that came with it didn't re-inflate properly so I had to contact customer service. They were fantastic! Polite, helpful and made sure the pillow was replaced promptly. We also ended up ordering an Opus pillow for my husband as he didn't want the curved one and he finds it very, very comfortable. Over all this was one of the best bed-buying experiences we've ever had.

"Our new Aria has been a godsend while I recover from knee replacement surgery; so much so that we're thinking of ordering another for our spare room. First read about these young entrepreneurs in the Financial Post in 2014, with a bit of scepticism. Kept looking for negative reviews. Now we know why there aren't any. "I was referred to Novosbed by a friend at work, and we are very satisfied with our mattress!
We had never had a memory foam mattress before, did some reasearch, asked many questions and tried some different beds in stores, and finally decided on the Classi. Even after all that, it did take my better half a few weeks to get used to how you sink in, but both now very happy we took the leap.
One thing I didn't realise before we had memory foam was how the mattress can get firmer when the room is cold and a bit softer when it is warm. I really like it, is almost like we can change how firm the mattress is with a thermostat.
A big concern we had was what base to use, I decided to build my own low, Japanese style slat base and the customer service ladies were very helpful for with the weights and specs to build to."
