When I received notice that I would be deploying to Iraq I went searching for a good handheld GPS at a decent price. I settled on a Garmin Rino 500 HCX and placed a pre-release (before the unit was available to the public) order with OffRoute.com. Shortly after I placed the order I found out that the model I ordered was not authorized for use by soldiers in Iraq due to a security issue. OffRoute was extremely easy to work with, and they cancelled my order without any issues at all. A few months after I arrived in Iraq I placed another order with OffRoute for a Garmin GPSmap 60CSx, which is authorized for use. They had no problem with shipping it to my APO (Iraq) address. I received the GPS quickly and everything was exactly as I ordered (new, in the original MFR's box, etc).
