"Ordered some cable for a client, the arrived in good shape. Order was shipped just a little on the slow side again, but the price was RIGHT. They need to take a page from Newegg on shipping orders QUICKLY.

"I ordered 4 case fans, they were shipped the next day, well packed in bubble wrap and peanuts. Everything arrived quickly, in great shape, and no problems at all."
"order was shipped correctly and quickly. also well packed. this is my second order from openlinx.com their website design isn't the best but the quality of service is excellent so far."
"The website needs a bit of work. If you know exactly what you want the descriptions are adequate. The prices were the best I could find. Packaging was appropriate for items ordered. Ordered late afternoon on Friday, order was shipped Monday, via UPS ground, and arrived 2 days later (normal delivery time). If I ever need products that they have I would definitely order from them."
"Don't let the looks of the web site fool you, this is a first class operation! The prices are reasonable. Quick shipping. I ordered a case, power supply, and rack mounted I/O panel. The P/S was mounted in the case for me and the I/O panel packaged in bubble wrap and placed inside the case so only one box was shipped vice 2. "
"I ordered From these guys on 10-17-02, and received my package on 10-23-02, I was happy with everything except that I did not recieve a tracking number or a ship confirmation, and the web site is a little clunky but they had good prices and dont inflate their shipping."
"The only rason I ordered from this company is that I needed a BTC 9110 Keyboard in beige or white to match my computer gear. I needed a small keyboard with a numberpad and function keys (media keys optional) and This keyboard was the only one that fit the bill. I would have prefered ordering from Directron.com or NewEgg.com but they only had the keyboard in silver as did every other e-retailer other than Openlinx.
I found the website a bit difficult to navigate. Several links were broekn or needed reloading to get to the right page. I am using a 384k cable modem btw. Also although the front page was decently arranged ok in appearance, the rest of the pages were horrible.
The pages after the first page (product catalogue pages) were some horrid yellow color. I don't know why they were yellow and not white or some other neutral color, which would have made looking at them easier. Also if the page backgroundw ere white the horrible editing around the pages would not have been as easily noticed.
I know aescthetics are not the only consideration when dealing with a retailer, but they should factor into the equation, especially when its an online retailer where a customer gets their company impression from the website and not from dealing with employees (usually).
I ordered my keyboard, and went to pay with my Visa. They require a bank telephone number. Why the hell do they need my banks telephone number. No other retailer I have used, and I have been shopping online for the last 5 years with numerous sites, have ever required a bank phone number when ordering. The first time I went through the forms to order my keyboard I didn't fill this in because I didn't feel like going to look for the number. The order said it processed byt I never got a confirmation email. The second time I went through theorder process I put in the customer support number on the back of the card (the only number I had) and I got a confirmation email and a tracking number the next day.
I chose UPS Ground since it was the cheapest shipping and I didn't need the keyboard right away. Usually UPS Ground gets packages to me in 3-5 business days. When I tracked my package I was told that the item would be delivered on Sept 9th. WTF? I mean two business weeks to deliver a small package? What, is it being walked to me? I know this is prolly not a fault of Compulinx but it adds to my impression of the whole deal.
Also they require signature upon delivery. Since I work full time and go to school full time this is going to be a pain in the butt for me to work around. I will have to skip some classes just to be there to sign for my nice $14 keyboard. I mean I know prove of delivery is nice when dealing with expensive merchandise, like a whole system, but to require it for anything under $20 is painfully rediculous.
Most retailers try to make the shopping experience as easy as possible. Nearly all of them are easier than that which Openlinx provides. If I could have found my keyboard elsewhere I prolly would have ordered it elsewhere."
"Initially requested to do Will Call, but like most 'net outfits, they denied. So I ordered my two fans through their website yesterday (8/12) and I received them today (8/13)!! I was very happy with that. The downside to it was that I received no emails besides the initial confirmation. I was expecting a tracking number, shipping confirmation, or something to let me know that they're alive and my item is in stock.
But all in all, I'm a happy customer now since it got here so fast."
"I ordered late evening on the 15th got tracking number on the 16th. Got package for a resonible shipping price on the 17th :D It was an great price for the Themaltake Volcano 7+ that I ordered too."
"Ditto user chattoed. I also ordered a 400W switching dual fan powersupply, which ALSO came in a box with no packaging material whatsoever. I haven't cared until now, when I found out through my BIOS and my hardware monitoring software that the +12 voltage was dangerously dropping below the safe level. I switched this powersupply for a 300W one and what happens? The +12 voltage becomes fine, and all the fans in my tower case spin twice as fast! This "400W" powersupply was complete crap and if left alone could have in the long term ruined my entire system.
Do NOT order power supplies from Openlinx. "
"Ordered a Thermaltake Blue Orb for my AMD chipset. Ordering process was easy and the price was the best around. Shipping was reasonably quick, it shipped the next business day. Would buy again!"
