"I recently purchased the MA2 Outdoor Receiver and AP640 Outdoor Speakers and installed them on my patio. Product was delivered as promised and have been installed for about a week now. Everything is great. Only draw back is the speaker wires are only about 5 feet long. My installation required 20 ft of wire for each speaker. Simple fix. AM antenae came in broken but a new one is on it's way. It was UPS's problem but ODS is taking care of it.

Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase and the sound is great. My patio is about 450 square feet under metal roof and the system really fills the space. It is hard to tell where the sounds are coming from."

"Comments about AP640 High Performance 6.5" Patio Speaker Pair:

I purchased the AP640 speakers for my deck. I have a small (75W) in-wall amplifier that I recently installed to power a set of small speakers. After shopping at multiple retailers and doing extensive online research I decided to try the AP640s based on cost and online reviews by OSD customers. I wanted to make sure that I had speakers that could provide enough sound using my 75W amp, but would also be able to handle higher power in the event that I upgrade power.
I was very impressed with the fast shipping, packaging of the speakers, etc. Mounting was simple as expected. I greatly appreciated the quick-connect style inputs as I was installing because I could hold the speaker with one hand, attach the wires with the other, and no need for a third hand for a screwdriver or other tool!
The 75W amp is enough to power the AP640s with clean, crisp sound. I was able take the volume to the point that it was too loud for just the deck area and could be heard throught my yard.
I also hooked the speakers up to my Sony 300W amp in the house and the speakers could definitely handle the power and still had great sound.
The speakers had decent bass response inside, but obviously lose a lot of bass when installed outside for obvious reasons.
So far I am VERY impressed and very pleased with this purchase and will use OSD when I start making purchases for the rest of my home needs.
