While I've never seen a "shiny" rock in Nature, these have quite a shiny finish. I'm certain that a few months in the Central Florida sun will eliminate the gloss problem. I am as concerned about where does the water go that gets inside of them during a rainstorm as I still am about the other 2 I bought. No provision for drainage is visible."
