"I ordered three GE door alarms from this site. The plastic packaging for the alarms was old and discolored, and when I tried the alarms, they did not work as advertised. They turned on and seemed to allow me to set a code, but could not be armed, even though I followed the instructions to the letter. I can only assume that the electronics in the alarms are defective. I would return the alarms, but the VERY EXPENSIVE shipping and handling that OverStockDealz.com / Consumer Depot charged me, which I cannot recover, cost more than the alarms, and the company will not pay for my return shipping, either. Furthermore, their return policy seems very restrictive and I'm not even sure the alarms would be accepted, since they now have tape residue on them and the magnets have already been once nailed to the wall.

From this, my first experience with OverStock Dealz, I get the impression that they are a dishonest company that discourages returns on their defective merchandise with their ridiculous shipping charges."

"I purchased an expensive laptop from this retailer. All seemed well. The PC arrived quickly, FedEx shipping was nice. I open the product up and was quite happy. Plugged it in and the operating system (Vista) tells me that the battery is bad and cannot be fixed -- it must be replaced. I contact the OverstockDealz and am told that I can return the product at my own expense for a refund minus their shipping charge.

Adding insult to injury, they do not offer to replace it, but only to refund minus their shipping charge. Nevermind the questionable practice of not offering a replacement and the fact that the problem was obvious to anyone who turned on the machine, BUT when I consider purchasing another, they deny the offer.

This is ludicrous. If they correct this and send me a working machine with a working battery, I will consider updating this review to reflect that fact. Otherwise, I cannot see doing business with them or recommending anyone else does either."
