Well stocked electronic & cable store, with an incredibly rude, racist & obnoxious owner

"Good inventory, decent prices, but unfortunately the owner's attitude limited the experience to only a couple of visits. I cannot believe someone this rude & obnoxious is in the retail business. The fact that he's still in business is itself amazing, for I've seen him treat others similarly. I haven't seen any person of color shopping in there, but I can imagine what his comments will be after they leave. I for one will forgo further experience, and shop Amazon in the future."

"I needed a 10 pin audio connector that goes from my sound card to the motherboard header. It was important that all 10 pins where on one side because my sound card needed all those pins in order for audio to work through the headphone jack on my case. This was the only place where I could find that cable it works perfectly."

"Stay far clear from this retailer, by far the worst I have ever done business with. read the reviews here before ordering. https://plus.google.com/103905148695691510014/about?hl=en I suggest you invest in a vacuum sealer and spring for generic plastic bags like the one your referring to as part of product missing. Had it been a resealable ziplock I would have brought it. But your claim that the cable return was incomplete by not including the clear plastic bag you need to rip open is ridiculous, and frankly a pretty dirty trick to reneg on returns over. Exactly what are these other returns your referring to? I confess, you got me, I have a habit of buying usb cables, using them for a week, and then returning after finishing with my keyboard and mouse needs that week. Give me a break. I simply needed to exchange for ones with B (printer) port at one end. As for the DisplayPort to HDMI adapter I returned, I specifically asked if it was 1.2 revision, to which you replied "I have no clue, I just know I sell plenty to the guys at intel and they have no problems with them, but they won't carry audio" my need for it to have been 1.2 revision was clearly above your knowledge of the DisplayPort interface, so instead of spoon-feed you product information I wrongly assumed you to be knowledgeable of, I asked what your return policy was so I could test first hand and safely return, should your unmarked outdated interface adapter not end up being the current revision released two years ago. So I apologize for having to return your 7 year old spec adapter as it was too outdated to meet my needs. You got a real chip on your shoulder, you'd be better served and have much better sales if you stuck to stocking the shelves with your mouth zipped and let the more knowledgeable Asian fella run your ship. Nobody expects you to know everything, if you don't know the answer to a customer's question, there's no shame in saying so, just kindly refer them to the more knowledgeable guy you have working for ya. Trust me, being a jerk and chastising people in response to questions you can't answer gets you nowhere. Stay in the back and keep that uninformed, know it all mouth of yours shut, you'll be a richer man for it. "

The product you purchased on this receipt was refunded in full, in cash, when you brought it in. I understand that you are unhappy that we were unable to refund the other purchases because you did not return them complete, as requested. I find it surprising that you purchased multiple items over several weeks, and kept returning them, almost like you were buying them, using them, and then returning them when you no longer needed them. We didn't have a problem with all of your other returns, only the ones recently that you didn't return in like-new condition with the original packaging. I see how your other reviews also lie about our return polices, which have been posted on our site for 10 years, as well as on the counter in our store. We do take opened items back all the time, but they must still have all the original products and packaging with them.”

"Over the last fifteen years of making purchases online there are companies which impress me, PCH Cables is one of those companies. What an amazing company.

I needed some short USB cables to use with my 2.5" external hard drives. These short cables are kind of a specialty item which are difficult to locate in traditional stores and often if they are available there is a price premium.

PCH Cables prices were astonishing, I bought 9" cables for $1.25 ea and a 10ft cable for $3.35 and shipping was $2.91. I couldn't have bought one cable in a traditional store for that price, let alone four.

The cable quality was quite good. I test cables by copying data from my laptop to the drive. The cables were obtaining about 26 mbs. I've paid significantly more for USB cables that say they are USB 2.0 but in fact they'll transmit at a snails pace of 13 mbs. These cables were copying data at double the rate and were a fraction of the price.

Their shipping was extremely fast. I got a notice that my order had been shipped the same day 11/16/2010 USPS and included a tracking number. I received my purchase the morning of 11/18/2010, which was quite quickly considering it came from Portland, OR and I'm in Indiana.

If you're looking for high quality cables for a low price and quick shipping, PCH Cables, Inc is the company to buy from. I'm just stunned.

"Bought a few power cables and SATA cables for hard drives. Shipping was fast. Items were well packaged. Prices were very low and reasonable. I also called one time to ask a question. Service was prompt and thorough. I'm very impressed by this store and will consider it for future orders and friends and family."

" Worst customer service ever!

I had my wife call to check availability of a couple cables. PCH was so rude, insulting and annoyed she wasn't buying over $20 in cables then he hung up on her.
This was the first time in 15 years I have seen someone make my wife cry.
yes he was THAT RUDE.

Please do not give this "company" your business.

“We do not treat anyone rude because of the amount of cables they are or are not buying. The majority of our orders are between $5.00 and $25.00, whether they are local pickup orders or shipping orders. We ship 40-50 small orders via USPS every single day. I cannot imagine why someone would be treated rudely simply because they asked if we had something in stock. Our website actually shows if something is out of stock or not, and all orders go through the website. I apologize if we were rude sounding on the phone, but I can guarantee that no one called us to ask availability on a product and we hung up on them because of the dollar amount of a potential order being "too small", or anything like that. ”

"!!!Very bad customer support!!!

A week of after placing the order, I called the customer support twice to check the status. Both the times, the person who answered the call was very rude and kept on saying check the email without providing the information I was requesting.

I will never shop again with this seller and would not recommend this seller to anyone.

“When this customer first called, he was upset that he had not yet received his order. We asked him for his order number, but he could not provide it. We asked him for his name, but with his accent, we were unable to pull up the correct spelling of his name or order in our system. We asked if he received any emails from us, and he said he didn't have access to his email, but he had printed out the order confirmation. We told him that if the order went through, then that page he printed should have the order number on it. He mentioned that it didn't have a number on it. We told him that we would need to look up the order a different way and we tried to explain that we were with another customer at the counter and if he could call back in 10 minutes, he got upset at us and hung up. He called back in 2 minutes and asked for a supervisor who tried to explain that the first email would contain his order number and the ability to look up the status of his order, and then there should have been another email that would have told him his order had shipped, including any tracking information. He once again stated that he didn't have access to his email and why we couldn't just tell him if his order had shipped. We again tried to explain that we were with a couple customers at the counter and could not at the moment look up his order without the order number or the correct spelling of his name, but if he could call back in 10 minutes we had a couple different ways to look up his order. He got very irate and told us he would never do business with us again because he does not believe we ever shipped his package, and hung up. Had he been more patient during this busy holiday season, we could have looked it up by date, phone number or even by product as a last resort.

"I typically don't write store reviews b/c I purchase from stores that have plenty of them. I had never heard of PCH Cables before placing an order for 2 power extension cables (4-pin ATX 12V cable and a 4-pin molex cable) b/c they had by far the best prices for the items I was purchasing (and a sufficient number of reviews to warrant a try).

My order was placed on 5/14/08 & arrived on 5/17/08 (from Oregon (PCH location) to New Jersey via USPS Priority). The order was fulfilled and shipped immediately. The items delivered were exactly what I orderd and were packaged nicely.

In short, I'm impressed. Excellent service at an excellent price.

"I love this place! I ordered some coax cables and zip ties on a Saturday, received them by Thursday, even with a holiday in between. Very prompt, well packaged, and on top of that, they refunded some money back for the shipping. Most places won't do that, even if the shipping quote is alot higher than the actual shipping cost. Very satisfied with this company, and suggest using them for your cable needs, as the prices are killer, as well. I almost spent 4x the amount at Radio Shack. "

"I have been using PCH for all my cable needs for a few years now. Cables and ties for computers & TV, speaker wire for my Onkyo surround sound system and other odds and ends. They are always quick with my orders and never had any mistakes. Online inventory is updated quickly and prices are fantastic.

Today I picked up a couple of optical audio cables and 16 guage speaker wire to replace cheap wire that came with receiver. Great people at PCH!

"I ordered a 1 foot USB2 patch cable. They sent me 4 patch cables, each 1 foot long. They also did not charge the surcharge that their website said they would charge for small orders. I have no idea why I received these bonuses, but it certainly made me feel good about this company."
