"The company called to confirm the order and pressed me to purchase a memory card and lead me to believe they were giving me an incredible discount. 128MB memory card originally $140, but he'd give it to me for $69. Not knowing much about digital cameras I agreed. Right after I checked Best Buy and their 128 cards normally sell for $59. I called right back and he said there was nothing he could do about it. The next day I talked to a supervisor and he was extremely rude to me and acted like I was a bother. By the time I hung up I was in tears. I would not recommend ordering from them if you want decent customer service."

"Ordered online and called back to confirm the order. I was told to expect the digital camera in two weeks or so. After two weeks had passed with no camera, called back and was told that the camera was on back order!
Their word of consolation was that I had not been billed for the order. Excuse me while I bow down in gratitude. My orders for other accessories with other online vendors were all handled more promptly and professionally. As a result, I now have everything to go shooting except the camera.
The clincher, I found better pricing for the camera with a much better rated vendor. I'll never buy from PCVideoOnline again, as a matter of principle. Never reward poor business practices, even if they are a few bucks cheap."

When I notified them the day the package was received, Robert, the salesman who took the original order, agreed to ship the proper items immeditately. When I did not receive the replacement items, I called many times and was put on permanent hold as soon as I told them why I was calling. The company has refused to acknowledge my calls, emails, and USPS mail. I have placed the credit card charges in dispute until the matter is resolved."

Well, as with many others, things started off positive. However, I called 3 businesses days after placng the order to get a confirmation on the arrival date as the website order status did not show the changed shipping method along with no tracking information. After being transferred to a "customer service rep." I was assured the camera would arrive by Friday (4/18). Well, I fnally figured out how to find the tracking information by using the confirmation number only to find out that my camera did not ship until early evening on 4/16 (same afternoon I was told it would there by Friday). And in checking the UPS site, found out it would not arrive until Monday (4/21). I realize it is only one business day, but I hate having to put so much effort into ordering and tracking from an online supplier... Needless to say, I will defintely avoid this site for future purchases and be more than willing to pay a few extra $$ for quicker ship times.
As a point of reference, I ordered a memory card and extra battery from pcunniverse on the same day (4/12) as the camera and had both pieces by 4/15.... hmmmmmm where would I shop next time??

"This was the first time I have ever HAD to make a phone call to complete an online order. The purpose was soon obvious--pressure to buy every accessory without a chance to shop around. A big benefit to me of shopping online is to avoid such salesmen.
What really irritated me though was the offer of a free shipping upgrade if I would go at once to THIS SITE and write a glowing report! I refused all the offers and said I would certainly write a report, but after the experience was complete. So ends for me the credibility of all the glowing reports I read here about this company.
My camera arrived promptly in good condition, but I will not order from pcvideoonline again. If you like to deal with pressure salesmen who offer you what I consider a bribe, go ahead."

Using several pricing services, I found PC Video Online had the lowest price for Panasonic PVDV702 camcorder. Salesman Tom tells me 702 has a recall, try the 402 for $529, same resolution, same features. I order the camera after the heavy sales pitch for xtras. He will upgrade shipping if I give him a 5 star review on pricegrabber.com (before receiving anything!). I'm a little nervous now, so I check camera specs and prices. Bottom line: 402 has 1/2 the resolution of the 702, nobody knows anything about a recall, and they bait with the 702 for $552, next closest store is $619. They switch to 402 for $529, only many stores are below $400. They are just crooks. Hopefully, my order is cancelled as they claim. "

After ordering a camera and getting told to give them a 5 star rating and that they would ship my order emediately I knew it was sketchy. "very disapointed and not a happy buyer. From the date of order till I received it, it was 2 (that's 2) weeks. I also ordered an extra set of ink cart. and the printer would not accept them. This will probably be the first and last time that I will buy from pcvideo. Also the selling agent told me to go on to reseller.com and give him a very satisfied rating and he would upgrade my shipping. At that time I could not get on to reseller.com so he got no rating, sound fishy to you. Also when I called in about my order, I was passed off by two sales reps before I got one that would help me. "DAY 3: 4/4/03: BEWARE - Went to track order & found that website was down all day. Called customer service number in the morning & told to call back later - greeting was non-professional and lead me to believe that this was a fly-by-night operation. Later in the day, I reached customer service and was given a UPS tracking number that was not recognized by the UPS shipping software. I also requested that someone fax me a copy of my invoice to confirm the assorted charges associated with the purchase of the camera & accessories. This never showed up.
DAY 1:Customer service and follow through were excellent. Phone service provided by Robert - ext 118 was detailed and fast. Please note that the salesman offered to upgrade the shipping of my order to "premium" if I placed a favorable recommendation on this site. "
