The part they sent was the wrong one-- after many emails and phone calls, we still have the wrong screen and still can't use the TV-- the customer service method at this place is to just ignore unhappy customers until they go away-- obviously, we will never order from them again. "I ordered an item on 5-26 and it was supposed to be in stock. On 6-8 at about 11:00 PM I called for an update and was told it's on back-order and that someone would be calling me in the next few days with an update. The following morning I ordered elsewhere and called Partsolver to cancel. They then said it shipped on the morning of 6-8, apparently before hey told me it was on back-order. They still refuse to refund the shipping saying they (at the office) had no way of knowing that the warehouse had shipped it! I don't get it! If they didn't know how could I? I'm currently working with the credit company to try and retrieve my losses. I'm not impressed. "
"The laptop parts that I ordered arrived in a timely fashion and in new condition. There wasn't a wealth of information about the items on the web site, but the part numbers and part names are enough if you know what you are looking for.
My only complaint is that the order status did not update very frequently. I placed my order on a Tuesday, the parts shipped on Wednesday, but the tracking number was not available until Friday. I was a little worried because the availability field on the parts changed from "Ships in 24 hours" to "Ships in 4-6 weeks" during this time, and I didn't know how long I would have to wait. If the order status page gave me a tracking number when the shipping information was sent to the courier instead of two days later, I would have been a lot less worried. The parts did ship quickly, but I didn't have any way of knowing that. Most sites are better about this than Partsolver, but other sites don't have quite the selection of parts or quite as appealing prices as Partsolver."
