"I would only recommend using this company for cheap, non-precise, disposable replacement parts. Do not expect quality machine parts and do not expect to have issues resolved quickly if you do try what I did.
Ordered a kit of axles and wheel bearings for my 2008 Dodge Ram 2500. Despite the fact that the parts showed as 'in stock' it took seven business days for them to be shipped. To be fair, this is the stated policy, but it's ridiculously slow in the modern era for 'on the shelf' parts.
When the parts arrived the boxes were damaged beyond recognition and one of the steel flanges on the axle shaft was bent. The shipper (FedEx ground - the worst!) surely bears some responsiblity for this, but had items been packed properly (as I've had experience with drive lines, transmission parts, etc. from other sellers) this could have been avoided.
When I asked for an immediate replacement - I'm off the road until I can get this repaired - the agent says they have to evaluate the claim first; expect another two weeks before that whole process plays out. So I sent the pictures, and explanation and (a week later) they're still deciding whether I can get a refund.
Looking at the other axle, it is clearly used and is missing a part. Yes, missing a PART OF THE AXLE! I might be able to scavenge from my old one but I wouldn't think I should have to. Nuts, cotter pins, thrust washers - all of which would be expected to come with a new part - were also not included in the boxes I received.
Bottom line, never again. I don't know that I can afford the dealership ($950 vs $150), but I will surely avoid discount crap like Parts Geek. Sometimes we get exactly what we pay for. "
"Fast delivery already installed onto vehicle running a whole lot smoother."
"I bought some brake parts when they got here, the bag of parts were ripped open and parts were missing They gave me $13.00 for the parts but kept the $9.97 that I paid for shipping. That doesn't seem fair to me, so never again."
"PartsGeek ships quickly and their prices are indeed substantially lower than other vendors and auto parts stores. However, I have ordered several parts that were described to fit my vehicle when in fact they did not. Nothing **** more than having to wait several days to get a part only to not have it fit. Especially once you've committed the mechanic to do the labor tear-down."
"Paid less for all 8 injectors then what the local chain wanted for one . They fit perfectly and work flawless.. I'm sure I could have paid a little more and got faster shipping.. but I was fine with the basic shipping."
