"This part was installed on a 2008 Avalon. I had the old nuts and bolts from the original part, which I used even though the new part came with bolts, but no nuts. I cleaned and waxed the hood & the new part before installing it. I did use the rubber seal, but it was a little tricky & wish they would have applied a larger surface of adhesive for the seal to stick with. I also wish I would have wiped the rubber seal down with a wet cloth to remove any dust or powdered from the manufacturing process, maybe this would have let the rubber seal stick to the adhesive better. But I installed both ends first with the bolts tight but loosely attached, then I anchored the middle attaching the bolts snug but loose. And with all proper procedure, I slowly tightened each bolt a little at a time while keeping rubber seal in place. Looks great, the only problem is after 16-17 years the rest of the grill area looks old and worn."
