"PayPal...the PP stands for PURE POISON. I got suckered into submitting a payment to them through a reseller-vendor. This was not properly disclosed or I would have passed them by.
I've had bad experiences with them in the past and swore never to do business with them again. I decided to allow this to go ahead as long as it was above board, but as I feared, the transaction quickly went sideways, with my card being charged for an item that was on 10 week backorder. It took a week of harangueing these people to get a refund ackowledgement...and it still hasn't shown up on my account.
WHO DOES THAT? Well...Paypal does, along with most of the people they do business with. UNACCEPTABLE! No wonder these arse-lochs are being sued all the time!"
"Not much chance of me dealing through Paypal again. If I find a vendor online and they use Paypal, I look elsewhere quickly. They are fast as lightning to charge your credit card, but try to get help from them when the vendor doesn't ship you anything... you get an "auto response" and no help.
Thanks to the other reviewer for mentioning this website:

I am convinced enough from viewing that above website.
Take your chances with this one. Me? I'll pass on Paypal. That's what you're going to do PAY, Pal. No Help mentioned anywhere...
* Thanks ResellerRatings.com - Your site is my first stop before buying from now on! Keep up the great job. "
"PayPal continues to show terrible customer service problems in addition to fictional coupons that cannot be used as advertised (including their fine print). I ordered an item that qualified for 10% off the coupon and was unable to use the coupon as they said it was used too many times. As it was just issued to me and I have the email to prove it, it was a lie that caused me to purchase the product with the expectation of a further 10% off of a 250 dollar item. I will refuse to further use their service and continue to not recommend them for anything. I would avoid them at all cost and also their parent company eBay.
Their customer service is close to useless, and their 24 hour commitment for a response takes 3 emails, 7 days, and still will not resolve your issues. This has been an awful experience."
"I have always had problems with Paypal. I won't even go into each instance, but overall it has been over $1000 worth of problems and headache. I have given up on them altogether. Even their coupon codes are a scam. Their contact info on their website doesn't even show up. I'm sure it's a "technical" issue that has been going on for months that helps keep their service call numbers down. I had to google "paypal" to get their customer service number."
"I have used PayPal to pay for items purchased at ebay as well as other online merchants and I wouldn't change a thing. I like that I don't have to reveal my credit card information over and over again, just click on the merchant's paypal link; input password and email info and okay the purchase. Never had a problem and I'd recommend it to anyone. Thanks PayPal!"
"I have a problem with an online seller not replying for a request to change an order to a more expensive version. After repeated emails (no phone number listed at site) I contacted Paypal since this hasn't been authorized against my bank account yet. They said even though it hasn't reached my bank yet, the process on their end has been started and cannot be turned back, their advice, call the seller! Well the seller doesn't even have their number listed with Paypal now how is that? They said if I took any steps at canceling this at my Bank level, all future transactions to this bank from them would be rejected. I'll never use paypal outside of ebay again. If I would have used my Visa card this order would have been killed immediatly. Paypal sucks for support."
"There is actually a website aptly named, paypalsucks.
http://www.paypalsucks.com
Go and read the horror stories there before you use PayPal for anything.
PayPal is notorious for screwing over buyers. They will take a seller's word over a buyer's word every time, and they give the seller the advantage of being able to show photos of items while the buyer cannot.
It's unfortunate that PayPal is in bed with eBay. Therein lies the monopoly, and allows them to do whatever they damn well please.
Bottom line is: PayPal doesn't care about the buyer. You can plead your case when a seller wrongs you, and you paid them through PayPal, in their online Resolution Center and you can call them and speak with a PayPal rep., but NONE of that will do you any good. They will side with the seller and any protesting by you ends up just being a big waste of time.
PayPal sucks. Always seek alternate methods of payment."
"Only had one problem, but it was eventually solved. Other than that one, over 100 transactions with them, all 100%! Sure am glad they're there, cuz have you seen the price of a merchant account!?! F THAT!"
"I purchased a 200 piece of computer software from ebay. What I got in the mail was an copy of the software and not the original. The seller never sent me the original software that he advertised as original on ebay even after buy dispute resolution on ebay.
I also went through paypals dispute resolution process(hint: dont wait around for paypal contact your personal credit card company immediately the longer paypal prolongs the process the better for paypal)
Paypal said that since I received something(even though it was the wrong item and illegal copy, I sent them photographs, copys of emails between myself and the seller in which he admitted to what he did, via us certified mail) that they would not honor the reversal. Basically, paypal supports copywrite infringement.
Finally, I had to contact my personal credit card company and thats what I learned I should have done in the first place. Paypal says you should contact them first. My advice, don't waste your time with paypal."
