"I ordered what I was hoping would be a beautiful pair of golden south sea pearl earrings. The image on their website showed rich golden pearls with high lustre - this is not what I got!. Despite paying extra for larger pearls and an upgrade to AAA quality, what I received were far from what I was misled to believe would arrive. The pearls were low lustre and more of a pink colour than gold. The clasps were so small I could not even insert them into my ears (not that I would want to wear them). They look cheap and nasty.
I asked for a refund and was told this has happened before and would I accept a $50-$80 discount to keep them! Definitely not! I was then told I would have to pay to have them shipped back to China (misleading as I thought from their website they were coming from the States or Canada) AND that this was a risky choice as they might "get lost" and then there would be no refund at all. I was also instructed to declare the contents of my package to be a "gift" valued at $50 or else I would be liable for custom duties and that this would come off my refund! Why would I do such a stupid thing? Not only am I making a false declaration, I am also putting myself at risk of not being able to claim the true value of the earrings should they "get lost" - which seems highly likely.
What a shonky, underhanded operation. I am sending the earrings back tomorrow. I can't wait to be rid of them, more so given the level of deception Pearl Accessory operates under.

"I purchased a pearl pendant from their site. The contact address and location was a California address, so imagine my surprise when my item was shipped from China. Not only did it take over a month for it to arrive, when it was not advertised as such, but the pearl was not great quality. The nacre was uneven in places and the luster was not actually AAA. It did not have a return shipping label either, so when I contacted them to return the pendant to their California address they told me I had to pay to send it to China. I literally felt like I was being scammed. Luckily Paypal handled the dispute. I will never shop there again and I would highly advise anyone else find a more trustworthy source of pearls."
