"would not use this company again. Ordered photo on canvas, the quality was poor and not good enough to give as a present. There customer response takes a week to get back to you. The item was returned. Now there saying they tried to refund but it was rejected. Fine but why wasnt I told! still waiting for a refund 2 months on.

"Here’s the story of my dealings with Pixmania.
27 August 2005: I ordered a camera from Pixmania.
1 September: A box arrived containing a Pentax, together with a delivery note for a customer in Sweden. That surprised me, as I’d ordered an Olympus and live in Cambridge.
2 September: I did what I should have done earlier and read Pixmania’s on-line reviews. Lots of them. Bad ones. On the principle of not throwing good money after bad, I figured that my best plan was to cancel the order and get the camera from elsewhere. I phoned Pixmania, who said they’d reimburse me as soon as the Pentax was dispatched to them.
6 September: I handed the box to ParcelForce and was given a tracking number.
19 September: My credit card hadn’t been reimbursed, so I phoned Pixmania to ask what was happening. They said they had no record of the parcel arriving. I gave them the tracking number, and they said they’d investigate.
26 September: I hadn’t heard anything, so I phoned Pixmania again. They said that I’d supplied an invalid tracking number, and that my request for reimbursement had been refused. After a couple of minutes on ParcelForce’s website, I discovered that the tracking number was fine, that the goods had in fact arrived at Pixmania at 9:10 am on 12 September, and that they’d been signed for by a chap called Denis. I tried to phone Pixmania, but after 15 minutes on hold, the line went dead. I sent them an EMail instead, telling them that they’d received the parcel, and demanding my money back immediately.
27 September: Pixmania EMailed me to say there was still no trace of the parcel, and that they’d contact me when they had any further information. I replied, saying that I’d done everything expected of me, that ParcelForce’s records showed that Pixmania had received the parcel, and demanding immediate repayment. Pixmania replied, to say that my file had been passed to a manager.
3 October: My card was finally reimbursed, three weeks after Pixmania received the parcel. It took another week for Pixmania to tell me.
I need hardly add that I won’t be buying anything from this bunch of clowns again, and that the next time I use an on-line retailer, I’ll make sure to read the reviews first. The only thing left to decide is whether Pixmania are completely incompetent, or actively malicious...

"I only wish I had read the reviews about this company before purchasing from them, I have to agree 100/% with the comments made in this forum concerning this Company.
I purchased a Toshiba TV from them which is Great except that the Remote Control was missing from the order, also there was no plug adapter for UK use, have made at leaset 9 E Mails to them which is so Customer UN-Friendly it beggars belief.
As for Telephoning the Customer Service - just forget it, you will not get through and as this is a very expensive high rate call you will soon be out of pocket.
I feel the more people who complain about this "OUTFIT" the better, I intend contacting their Chief Executive Officer and warn about the bad publicity that is being generated by Customers who have been treated badly.
My Advice is BUY ELSEWHERE it aint worth the Aggro buying from Pixmania."
"Hi
I just thought i'd share the worst customer service i've ever received
with you (I'm nice like that!) - No, seriously if i can stop anyone
using Pixmania, and making that same mistake as me, i'd be doing
humanity a favour.
Well, simple enough - price was good, "Aways in stock", so I purchased
a Ixus 750 (Champagne colour) for a present.
First thing is I get an email telling me it wasn't in stock after all.
So, I go to the order tracking part of the site (which is basic, to say
the least), and it says:
1) The camera is in stock
2) The camera is not in stock
I'm not kidding! I've never been so confused.
So, I call them. Ha! 30 minutes later, I talk to someone who promised
it will be sent by 12 noon next day.
So, it isn't.
So, I call them next day (30 minutes again), and speak to someone else
that says they have it in stock, but can't send it to me for 5-7 days
(this is too long for me).
So, I go onto the web site and (eventually) work out how to cancel an
order. I get an automated response immediately telling me that it will
be dealt with in 24 hours.
So, it isn't
So, I go back onto the site and request a confirmation of cancellation.
Again, an immediate automated response, and again no response in 24
hours.
So, I call them again (over 30 minutes wait again). They tell me
they'll try to cancel it while i'm on the phone.
They can't. Apparently it's in an uncancellable status. i.e. it's not
in stock, they haven't sent it to me, but they have got my money (in
fact they took that immediately after I made the original order).
So, now it's with their accounts department, and apparently I might
need to refuse delivery of it when they eventually get it in stock and
send it to me.
I'm spitting angry to be honest. This is dishonest and illegal - i've
never had a problem with online shopping until now.
On top of this I've actually found a place in the UK that does the
camera for the same price, and it's a UK spec (i.e. UK plug on adapter,
UK manual etc.) and they can Gurarantee it will be delivered by the
next day.

"I purchased a camera (Pentax digital), and subsequently a camera lens from pixmania. The product was returned to Pixmania through their ZenEngagement program. It took 2 months and repeated pestering to get the product sorted and the refund processed. I am now ANOTHER two months into the refund re-issue process because of issues with the lens. The company does not provide phone customer service if you order online (at all), be advised. Do not use this merchant."
"Something needs to be done about this company - how they can be allowed to trade is a scandal. I purchased in good faith but got worried after they asked for utility bills and the like to be sent to them. Then I ran a search through google and found the huge numbers of forums and websites with people complaining of scenarios which pretty much amount to mass fraud.
I tried to cancel but was told that may order had been dispatched and it's too late. 4 days later my goods have not arrived and I'm hoping to refuse delivery if it ever shows up. They must make huge amounts just on the interest from monies they are keeping from people for weeks on end. Bunch of French crooks.
"
"Completely wrong items were delivered (LCD instead of printer). Getting return shipment arranged took two weeks and during this time credit card bill for still non-delivered product arrived. Initially pixmania demaded me to send wrong items back in my own expense.
Phone service only sporadically available, emails answered after long, long delay.
I cancelled order and rejected credit card bill. Finally Pixmania collected back wrong product at their own expense.
This is my only really bad internet shopping incident."
"Orfered on the 10th - 24 hour delivery. Phoned on the 12th, it had not left. Cancelled order. They have refused to refund the shipping costs."
"Stay away from Pixmania if you are in the UK. See other reviews. Pixmania injects unselected add-ons into your basket and makes it quite difficult to remove them. Worst, they give no appearance of being a French company until your camera arrives with French manuals and non-standard power cables (shaver socket). When you query this you are told that deep in the T&Cs told you about the French manuals and besides you can always download them from some web site (handy when you don't have a laptop). Pixmania are clearly sailing very close to being fraudulent, and the toothless UK and EU fair trading folk can't do anything to help you. You have been warned."
"I placed an order for the most expensive digital camera costed me 400 quids. I got an email one day later, saying that they could not process my order because they need me to send them the bank statement or National Insurance Number to 'bid the internet fraud'. So I cancelled my order and orderd from ebuyer and received the goods within 48 hours.
BUT I soon found out that PIXMANIA charged my money and did not refund it to me until NOW. I emailed them at least 10 times, NO REPLY. I called the customer servie, and it is all generated automatic electronic recorded voice.
AVOID this crap. They are the internet fraud."
"The worst online retailer I have ever used!
At 2 different stages of my order they added expensive, unrequested, none-tangible goods to my order (a "discount" card and an extended warranty). After removing the first item they readded the second during the order confirmation. This is quite clearly a scam to trap people into buying things they haven't ordered. Highly dubious practice? Most definatly. Completely illegal? Probably.
The order is sent from France and not the UK. If you read the small print all items have French manuals, the plugs are 2 pin european so you will need a convertor to plug them into UK sockets and the warranty is often only valid in France so you need to send the item back to pixmania ("at your own expense") if something goes wrong. Naturally they don't tell you any of this during the order process or during the sign up process. Infact, to look at the site you would assume they are a UK retailer. Incidently you can also forget about all the UK consumer law designed to protect you (ie: the distance selling regulations), becuase you are not buying from a UK company.
My order still not has been dispatched several days after placing the order. I have rang them and tried to cancel but they insist I must refuse the delivery when it arrives to get a refund (wtf????).
Contacting them is a real nightmare. They advertise several e-mail address's but all of them bounce the e-mail back to you. You can call on an expensive national rate number. I took me a few calls to realise they only seem to answer it if you press 1 on the automated system (the number reserved for VIP customers - just make up the 5 digit pin code, it worked for me!).
Please don't buy from this site! You will regret it (as I am!). I wish I had done some research on them before placing my order!"
"The reason they are cheap in the UK is because they do not supply UK spec products. The Canon printer I bought came with a 2-pin plug and no adaptor. My enquiry (to a very unpleasant "customer care" person) brought the response that it was in the small print and it was OK. The 2 pin issue is not mentioned up front when you are searching for the lowest price. I have now received an adaptor, but I think it's a poor solution"
"Be aware that Pixmania is a French company who sources goods meant for mainland Europe. As part of Pixmania's stated policy you will therefore probably not get a manual in English. I didn't. To get a refund you will have to send the goods back at your own expense. The manager of the person you speak to on the phone to complain will still be in the same meeting as when I phoned. There is a reason that the goods on offer are cheap. You have been warned!"
"After pixmania had the best price i placed my order (Olympus C-5060) dec 29th and on New Years Eve i. e. saturday morning i received the parcel. I was more than pleased."
"Still waiting on item, 6 weeks later, despite 3-4day delivery promise. Item has not even been dispatched- BUT pixmania have charged my credit card already.. I have tried to contact them electronically 5 times with zero satisfaction..."
