"Well, at first nothing worked. The Kindle motherboard they sent powered up, but because the board serial number wasn't matched to my serial card I couldn't register it. After spending close to 24 hours I tracked down a way to change the serial number using the idme utility on the Kindle (but the techs at Amazon wouldn't tell me that this could even be done). The front facing I ordered was missing a part that I had to cannibalize from my old front facing, but it now works. The only thing that never worked was the battery I bought. Dead as a doornail. Wouldn't even charge. I can't give them anything higher than 3 stars, and that's assuming they replace the dead batter."
