As explained in our disclaimer at checkout both your copy of the postcard and return mail can be damaged through the post office sorting machines due to an increased number of scans on both of those pieces. We actually print with a dry toner and have several quality control points our postcards are reviewed out prior to sending to the post office. The smudging you are describing can occur when the postal sorter rollers sit on the surface of the card too long or they experience a jam. It is actually a burn into the card. That said we, of course, want you to be happy with your order with us no matter if the damage occurred here or at the post office. We ask that you give us the opportunity to make sure you are satisfied with your experiece with our compamy. ”
