"Ordered a refurbished laptop for my parents down in Florida through Walmart's third party vendor InnovatePC. My parents called to say the laptop had some strange software on it and it was very slow to start up (actually slower than the 10 year old laptop I was replacing for them). Called InnovatePC and that is where it gets strange. I get a "hello" when I call. I ask if this is InnovatePC and he says "yes." I said, "why don't you answer that way?" No reply to that. Told them the problem and he said he would send a return slip and then send my parents another laptop. About a week later my parents call again swearing that it is the same laptop (though they did not know enough to write down serial numbers) and it had the same software on it and was still starting up slowly. I called InnovatePC again. Got the same "hello" and no business name declared. I could tell it was the same gentleman and he remembered me. I said they would like to return it (there is a 30 day return stated on their website) and he said we would have to pay the return fee (understandable) but also a restocking fee. I told him I would think about that. Tried calling Walmart several times with concerns about this vendor. Walmart has terrible customer service and I was on hold for almost an hour total as they tried forwarding my calls to their "escalation" department and each time (3 of them to be exact) I was disconnected. I finally gave up, which was probably their intention. I called my parents and said, just keep it. I am having too much trouble getting anywhere and if when I come down to Florida it is not working correctly, I will give them my laptop and take that one. My conclusion is this business is a one-man operation--and what business does not answer with their business name? Very unprofessional. Would not recommend them. Go through Amazon if you want to buy from a third party vendor. Their customer service is the best out there. I have learned my lesson!"

"First of all, the Elmo I ordered came in a big box and was surrounded with spray foam called SmartFilm. It took me nearly 45 minutes to get this amorphous spray foam from around the Elmo. Once I finished this feat, I found that there were no plugs to go with the Elmo--just the Elmo itself which defeats the purpose of why I bought it in the first place. I am a teacher and in my school the Elmo document camera is hard to come by--if you manage to get one to add technology to your class lessons you usually have to search the entire building for the plugs that come with the Elmo. Instead of going through the fight with other teachers and the hassle of searching for plugs I decided to order my own Elmo. The thing could barely be held together--the headpiece that contains the lens would not even hold itself up and the button to zoom in and out didn't even work. After testing it with a collleagues wires I was completely annoyed and bothered that I was duped out of $79.99. I work hard and long for my money and don't appreciate being tricked into purchasing a device that looks like it hasn't worked in years. Perhaps that is the reason they shipped it in mounds and mounds of spray foam--to protect the fact that it was shipped to me broken. I am the kind of person that doesn't bother with reshipping items back and forth across state lines. I will just write this one off as a loss and a disservice to my students who deserve better. This company is full of a four letter word (other than foam)--they are full of $h!t. Do yourself a favor, don't order anything from InnovatePC! I know I won't ever again! Sad thing is that if this Elmo would've worked my school had planned on buying more Elmo's and other products that we could use in an educational setting. Bad business means lost future business! "

"This is my second purchase from InnovatePC - my first being about a year ago.

My only complaint is that initially, i tried to order a particular SKU, and the entire order went through and charged to my card, only for me to find out a day or two later that the unit i ordered was no longer in stock.

after realizing this, i was able to select a replacement SKU, which was delivered in 2 business days, and is working perfectly.

Recommendations: Updated inventory control so customers can't place orders for SKUs no longer in stock. Also, more detailed specifications of each SKU would be great!"

"Nothing but junk they tried to polish up and sell as "refurbished". It's pretty obvious they're buying another companies old stuff, installing an operating system, cleaning it with windex, and claim its "refurbished". Save a few more dollars and buy something either new or refurbished by an authorized company. They claim they are certified, but their quality control says it all, they're not. I think that's illegal for a company to make false claims like that."

"There was an initial problem where I ordered a monitor and they happened to send me the wrong one, but I was able to return the monitor and received a full refund from them since it was not my fault. They have since tried to make sure I am getting the exact monitor that I want, and have done a good job at trying to make sure I am happy. The new monitor has been shipped and on its way to me. So far I am pleased with how the situation has been handled and I would do business with innovatepc in the future. "
