"Don't pay extra for cooling. It doesn't work. It's very hot unless the furnace is turned down to about 55°. It can be adjusted to comfortable positions & firmness but we thought the temperature was air cooled, however it is not.
Delivery was it's own special kind of hell. After an email saying the bed was shipped, a gentleman called me & told me our bed was delivered to him in Florida. My phone number was on the bed & our last names were the same. After speaking to Customer Service & Delivery several times our bed was shipped 2 weeks later, but addressed to our address in a town 20 minutes away. I lost my temper with the shipping company & the Delivery manager told me I was "stressed out", the town it was addressed to "was only few minutes away", that they "did get the address wrong once" & to compensate for our trouble they would "refund the shipping cost & send us free pillows which is a $750. value". We finally received the bed, but not refund or any items at all. The man in Florida may have been sent our refund & compensation. Never heard anything from the company ever again. Terrible experience trying to receive our prepaid, made-to-order bed & was shamed & deceived for the bed being shipped to Florida instead of Utah. "
"I called and did my homework on the airpedic mattress very carefully before buying. I asked, "what if I don't like it." "You are so far away, on the other coast." They said we stand behind our product and will ensure you are satisfied, or you can return within 120 days no problem. I looked at reviews and saw people saying they were very happy with their purchase and taken good care of, so in faith, I purchased my mattress. Unfortunately, upon receiving it, I did not like how it felt at all. There is a learning curve on how to regulate the numbers and after adjusting them and speaking with Dr. Rick, Brian, and Gerald, (whom where very kind and knowledgeable) they were more than happy to accommodate me and ensure that I was completely satisfied, or I could return my bed no problem. I found them to be very honest and true to their word. They sent me a different top and I am so in love with my bed. It was my mistake not knowing what I needed, and they honored my purchase and made it right at no cost to me. Their integrity and customer service made me know they appreciate their customers and care about them being completely satisfied with their product and were quick to address any issues. That is all you can ask from a company. They made me a truly satisfied customer. I would recommend this company and their products because there really is no risk if you are not happy you can send it back. But that being said, I am more than happy and love my new mattress."

"We have been searching for a new mattress for a very long time since our old one was in dire need of replacement. We tried several bed-in-the-box brands and was not impressed in the least. One was too soft and mushy, another never inflated properly and was lumpy, the third was too hard. Two had springs that didn't support and poked until I felt black and blue. Desperate for a good nights sleep, came across the air bed and called. It was a weekend and to our delight, someone was available. Gerald took the call and was very understanding of our situation and what we were looking for. I had talked to other sales people who when I asked them a question regarding a mattress they were selling, would simply look it up on the internet and read me the answer. (the same internet, I had researched earlier before coming to the store with my question). Gerald knew his companies product and even did extra research to address some of our questions. Based on his recommendations, we have ordered a customized air mattress and are anxiously awaiting it. I can't wait to have a good nights sleep and not have to get up in the middle of the night to sleep in the recliner because my back was all twisted and in pain or my side was numb. "
"My wife and I sleep so different that we have to have an air bed. We had one from the Sleep Better Store, and it was pretty good, but we wore it completely out. A bad experience with memory foam bed from Bed-In-The-Box, and we decided that we really needed another air bed. After a lot of research, we wound up giving the Air-Pedic a try. We initially were looking at a model 600, but after talking with Max, he recommended an 850 because my wife and are bigger than average folks. That and we’re also both side sleepers, and that apparently requires a bit sturdier bed then average sized folks. Max was great, he was very helpful, explained things very well, asked me the right questions, and answered all of mine. He’s also very easy to get a hold of, whether by phone or email. We’ve only had the bed for a week now, and we’re pleased to this point. I’ve woken up refreshed most mornings so far, which is a treat, but have had a couple of toss & turn nights, which is why they want you try it 120 days before returning. My wife is the more difficult with beds because she prefers sleeping on a rock, she set the pressure on her side at 99 and hasn’t softened it since. Neither of us are waking up with back pain, which is a great step in the right direction. We’re going to see how it goes for the 120 day trial, and hopefully this works out because I like the bed. If this doesn’t work I’m afraid that the Mrs. and I are going Ricky & Lucy! "
"The salesman Max was fantastic, very personable. I never felt like I was being sold on anything, just getting the pertinent info. They actually encourage you to try other mattresses. That's how confident they are in their product. The bed is made in California, so the standards for being non-toxic are pretty high. We're really excited to get a blissful night's sleep in our new "made to order" comfy, no pressure points bed."
"We purchased two different Twin XL Air-Pedic mattresses (800 & 1000) for use on our existing Tempur Ergo Split King Smart Base. Max was our sales rep. He did a great job. He treated us like family members. He is very sharp. I asked many questions based on my air bed research and he had good answers. We felt we received a custom experience that was aligned to our sleep needs and not canned or biased toward one product or another.
Separately, my initial impression of the "Select A Bed" website was not so good. In fact, given I’m a technical professional I questioned whether this company was legit because of the vintage look, design, and difficult navigation of their site. I found broken links and some outdated information. The reviews 5/5 seemed unreal too... but they are in fact genuine. I'm one of them now.
I was initially apprehensive of the fact I needed to call and discuss my order before I could get a “final” price to place my order. I thought "upsell" is in my near future. I was glad I called. Max was very friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, and not pushy. In fact, he moved us down the product line as he felt the 800 was a better fit for my wife who prefers a softer mattress. He provided us additional promotions that were not on the website. He adapted quickly to my style of “shopping” and gave us the confidence that he knew what he was doing. We didn’t feel he was focused on making a sale but was focused on helping us make the right decision.
We chose to visit a local Sleep Number store (i8 & i10) to gain a feeling about the air beds in the Air-Pedic product line. My wife especially liked the idea that the inside mattress layers of the Air Pedic mattresses can be changed AFTER delivery to create a custom/comfortable configuration as needed.
The staff at Select A Bed don't work on commission. Every interaction we had with each member was professional, courteous, and empathetic. Max returned our calls and sent emails as expected. Good correspondence. The estimated delivery time is longer than we expected. All that said, we recommend Select A Bed / Relief-Mart as least from a customer service and customer experience point of view. We are looking forward to mattress delivery and anticipate our sleep experience will match or exceed our customer service experience."

Max captured all the relevant data and managed to place my order in the queue and send the confirmation email when the computer systems were restored.
