" I purchased a mixer board from a seller on Reverb.com. It arrived on June 4 2024 and it arrived with the effects overload light conItinually lit. I sent messages and pictures to the seller asking to return it for a full refund. They did not respond. I sent the same messages and pictures to Reverb.com all within their 7 day buyer protection policy. Reverb has done nothing but stall. Their employee actually wanted me to take a video of the board showing the lights lit without a power supply connected to it. This is the kind of people that work there. I have not been refunded or offered a return label......nothing but a run around.
Stay away from reverb.com.

"have sold 3 guitars and 2 amps on Reverb. When I went to purchase a guitar and it arrived, it was unplayable and thought it was going to blow my amp. I was able to return that guitar to the seller, and he apologized saying he didn’t have adequate staff to make sure all guitars were in working order, so whatever, I got my money back( it was a $2300 guitar btw). I then submitted an order for a microphone, and paid for it, that I needed for up upcoming gigs this weekend. The seller would not respond to messages that I sent this week, finally I just asked for a refund. Reverb offered little to no help with getting my money back. The seller has not shipped anything and still won’t respond to my refund request, I assume he is not going to answer reverbs inquiries either. So I am stuck with no mic for this weekend and can’t get my money to buy another one. Now they tell me they will get back with me in 3 to 4 days, so who knows when I will actually get my money back. I am absolutely done with Reverb."
"First time using this site and I make a $2K+ purchase. First says purchase didn't go through, but I received a message from my bank that did. Turns out it didn't go through so I purchase again and two days later receive an email that my purchase was cancelled and to contact support.
I contact support and am told that my "concern is already escalated to our internal team. The email that you have received is from them. To avoid confusion for this order, I will relay to them that you have reached out... They will contact you within 24-48 hours regarding this."
Sorry, not waiting another two days to find out how I might be able to successfully make a purchase here."
"I had an issue with reverb in which I originally gave a one star review. This was due to the fact that paypal refunded a buyer for no reason and the buyer gave no reason as to what was wrong with his item and did not respond to messages. So I initially gave a one star review as I couldnt understand why a refund was being given to a buyer who would not even explain what was wrong with an item I sent and the buyer did not return the item. Reverb has since explained this refund was generated by paypal and after reviewing my case have found in my favor and they have credited the money back to me. So reverb support has resolved my issues and I am changing the review to a four star review. I still dont understand why the initial refund was issued but it sounds like that was done by paypal but the two companies should work together to make sure people do not get refunds when there is no supporting evidence. But in the end reverb fixed the issue and that is why I changed the review to 4 out of 5 stars.
Also the detailed ratings below havent updated but i gave three four and five stars on all. Hopefully that updates in next day or so."

Wow customer service at another level ... the bottom level .. 1st few sales, it took 3 weeks to get paid... as there was a "problem" with my bank ... funny though payments OUT when I bought items went out fine....mnn.. the staff are ignorant, if you can get past the Chatbot...
So .. the big problem (s) I was contacted by a scammer THROUGH Reverb sending fake Paypal invoices .. I let Reverb know, they could not give a t*ss. THEN I got a demand from Reverb, upload my Passport so they can identify me,,,, hang on ?? its a glorified 2nd hand guitar shop... why?? I asked why they needed it, the ar&e that responded said.. BECAUSE it was in the Ts & Cs ... oh.. So... a 2nd hand retailed (NOT in the UK) needs..

"I recently had a disappointing experience with Reverb. Despite purchasing a microphone (Order #: 16963018) on 06-03-2023, the delivered product was faulty. After sending it to the seller for repair, it took 50 days for the item to be shipped back. However, the product got lost in transit. While Reverb promised a full refund, they insisted I bear the shipping cost for returning the box and clip. Despite complying, I haven't received any payment to date. Customer care responds occasionally, claiming they are working on the issue, but no resolution has been found. This experience has been both embarrassing and frustrating, raising concerns about the integrity of a reputed e-commerce platform like Reverb."

"As a seller on Reverb, sold q guitar and have not been paid after 9 days now. Reverb confirmed sale and payments to take 1-2 days after sale confirmations.. and they use a third party to (Plaid) to process deposit to a seller bank account via their own verification process.. my bank account was verified by Plaid yet no sale proceeds have been deposited. Plaid offer no access to resolve so a seller is forced to refer resolution to Reverb which offers only FAQ's to address a problem. Reverb demonstrates a lack of customer service as it obfuscates any attempt to resolve a payment issue."

This company is the most disgusting company I ever used to purchase. I purchase a keyboard a month ago and when it arrived it was damaged. I reach out to reverb.com and the seller right away and for weeks nothing. I keep on sending messages for them to send me the return label which they did so I returned the keyboard and I still haven't received my money as yet. DO NOT BUY ON REVERB THEY ARE SCAMMERS. "2 weeks ago I purchased a bass. When I went to pay for it, system crashed. I contacted reverb via chat, Tech Support Ticket #4884811. They said "Give us 2 days". I wait. NOTHING happens. I wonder is it because my name is Dmitry and I am Russian (considering current political climate). in 2017 I had a problem with a reverb when a customer service rep, on the phone (they still had phone line) called me a "F'n Russki Yakov Smirnov sh#t". So the culture of racism and xenophobia is still present Meanwhile they keep threatening to suspend my account if I don't pay. And I still can't pay, because no matter which PC I use: home, work, laptop, library, or which browser I use. Or do I try to pay with paypal or any of my 2 credit cards, their webpage crashes. Its been 2 weeks, NOTHING is done, except once again, Reverb is acting as xenophobic and racist to me know, as they did back in 2017."
"Reverb blocks negative reviews of sellers AS A MATTER OF DEFAULT (read: automatically from the beginning). However, I must give Reverb credit for responding to my emails (as a disgruntled buyer of guitar pedals) after I escalated the matter beyond the online chatbot and online customer service chat representative. A real professional answered my email and resolved the matter favorably. Firstly, I was granted permission to leave a negative review of the offending seller on Reverb's website (and will do so). Secondly, Reverb gave me a credit on their website (toward my next purchase) equal to the shipping charges that were the subject of my dispute with the seller. So, they have mostly righted the ship. However, I still take issue with the company policy of initialing disallowing any and all negative reviews of sellers by consumers/buyers. A consumer/buyer on Reverb should not have to spend so much time and effort to gain extraordinary permission to leave a negative review of a seller. Consumers are simply unaware that most of the seller reviews on reverb.com are positive because of the above policy. Hats off to Reverb for ultimately taking care of me, but consumers should not need permission to leave a negative review."
