Identity verification Request that will blow your mind!!

"I placed an order online with Revolve Clothing. It was a big order so I asked for it to be shipped to my place of work, instead of my home so that I can sign for it. Although, delivery was scheduled three days after I placed my order, I received an email from them asking me to scan and send my photo ID and my credit card. I called them to make sure the request came from them, and they confirmed it. The agent said I can hide my credit card number except the last 4 digits which they need to see! I was reluctant to do it, but I decided to go ahead since I verified they are the ones requested it. After I copied my photo ID and credit card and obscured the number except for the last 4 digits, I sent them a PDF scan via email. They replied two days later saying they can't accept my scan and they wanted me to take a photo of my credit card front and back as well as my photo ID front and back and email it to them!!! At that point, I was livid, and sent them an email to cancel the order. I plan to file a complaint to the better business bureau. Could that request have been due to the large order I placed, which was > $1000?? not sure, but very disappointed. "

You won't get your money back!

"I thought I'd give Revolve a try since they offered prepaid returns within Australia, where I live. The products that arrived were of terrible quality so I returned them, which was a straightforward process. However, 13 days after they had received the return (according to postal tracking), I still had received no acknowledgement that they received the parcel, let alone the money back.

After a few days of chasing them up, the sent an email to say they refunded the purchase. However, it was $145 US short of what I paid.

Having chased them up again, they said it was because it was my responsibility to apply for a customs tax refund from the government. They sent me a link directly to the tax refund form, which had a lot of jargon on it and asked for information that they didn't provide.

After checking directly with customs, I was informed that only the importer - ie Revolve - who "paid the taxes" and filled in the import declaration could apply for the refund.

I am STILL waiting for the refund in my account and a response about the tax.

Clearly, it was all BS from Revolve!!!

AVOID !!!! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE ! DELAYED SHIPPING AND LIES ABOUT IT TOO

"Terrible customer service, shipping overseas is expensive and called express when 14 days later you cant even get a status on an order over $1200 , because it is shipped thru a cheap unknown carrier called HERMES, that has no status whatsoever other than : at international hub. When calling customer service, the representative Elsa is rude, cuts me off while i explain my frustration and overall offers no help or apologies. NO WONDER they dont allow reviews on their fb page and no wonder they review all comments before they post !!!!
They take forever to approve the credit card, ask for videos of the front and back of the card as well as ID , emailed. this is such a SCAM!
Rude !!! Liars !!! and i want my money back.
I received one item out of 6 after 14 days since my card was charged, the item is cheap and not as pictured !

Avoid if you are an international customer

"18 days later after numerous e-mails, facebook messages and comments on REVOLVE's page which were ignored, I finally received my item.

Apparently they have switched their logistics service provider for all shipping internationally ( I live in Singapore) to some dodgy Korean logistics company - CJ Logistics.

There tracking details were a complete joke with no arrival timing. They are no reliable shipping company unlike UPS or DHL.

I will never be paying so much money for overpriced, marked-up range of cheap and poor quality clothing for exorbitant prices, abhorring customer service from several junior and experienced staff plus I nearly did not get the items I paid for!

"I have order from here and received my package 2 days later this is the fastest I have ever received a package. The customer service women was helpful and nice. SO I do not know why people keep posting negative untrue reviews about this store. Also the shirt I got was beautiful and made of nice material. The only negative is it was a little too big even for the smallest size, other than that it is a great place to order clothing."

"THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. DON'T EVER, EVER, EVER use their services. I hope this company files for bankruptcy ASAP.
Ordered a gift. 3 days later they emailed me saying the item is no longer in stock, and offered me a 25% off coupon for their mistake. I am not the first person to experience this 'fault', and I sue as hell won't be the last.

"I've ordered g-shock watch as a birthday gift for my nephew, of course the first thing they did is to charge my credit card. After this the shop tried to write off some more money from my card. Transactions were blocked by my bank. After this Revolve wrote me that I need to verify my identity, meaning a I have to send them my ID and a copy of my credit card (!). After spending an hour with their customer service I was assured that the order will go through. It did not. Next morning. I received an email stating that my order was cancelled. After I called them, I was told that my order was rejected by their risk management manager. So two days in discussions with customer service, no money and no purchase. The money were returned within a week, but considering that was usd 500, which were held by the shop, I believe Revolve is a scam for milking our money."

"BEWARE. This company asked for a photocopy of both sides of my credit card and my driver's license. I believe them to be attempting to commit fraud.
On 10/05/14 I placed an order for clothing in the amount of $2980.00 The company's website indicated the merchandise shipped and that it would be delivered between 10/08 and 10/09. It never came.

On 10/12/14, I contacted them to find out why I did not receive my order. I was told that the order never shipped because their risk management department was concerned about my credit card being legitimate. They said they would make two small debits to my credit card and that I was to call them back with those amounts to verify that my credit card was in fact mine. I did that and the company representative told me the order would then ship out.

Today, 10/13/14, I received an email saying that those amounts were not good enough, and the company would now like a copy of the front and back of my credit card as well as a copy of my driver's license. I have no intention of providing copies of my credit card and my driver's license to a merchant. No legitimate internet merchant has ever made such a request in the past. I do most of my shopping online.

I believe the company is involved in something illegal. There is no reason any legitimate company would keep copies of customers' ID and credit cards.

"the most horrible online shopping experience. i ordered for a tshirt which never got to me. placed my order on the 4th of september and was promised to receive it by the 15th of sept.
as the due date passed by i kept emailing them asking about the order and on 30th september i finally asked them to refund the amount which still hasnt been refunded.
extremely unproffessional and worst customer service.
order stuff at your own risk.

"Avoid like the plague.
I placed order for diesel jeans in 33x32 but they sent me one size smaller which didn't fit me. I even didn't try them on and decided to send them back for refund but a couple of weeks later when I was checking my credit card statements I noticed they never returned my money.
I contacted them and they told me I was wearing those jeans and that I washed them which was complete nonsense because I sent those jeans back the same day a couple hours I receive them. I had all the documentation when I received them and what time I sent them back. And I also had prove they received the package. Then after a very long conversation with customer service they decided to return my money but it wasn't easy. They seemed very sketchy while I was talking to them.
Please do not order from this company.
