"I ordered 3 years of US Weekly as a gift for my boss beginning of September, hoping she would receive it by Christmas, now is the end of December, no magazines. I tried call through out working hours and emailing, no response. I planned on going to my bank to talk about the charged and hopefully getting my money back if my boss doesn't receive a magazine by the end of this month, which New Years is only 4 days away! (I should have done my research about this company before I bought.)"

"Still no issues delivered and it is 4 months since ordering. 2 emails and 4 phone calls with no response this company blows. Actually I feel comfortable calling this a scam, straight up. Just left another voicemail for them, they have 24 hours before I contact the BBB or file this fraud thing people are mentioning with my bank. "

"I ordered a one year subscription to NY Magazine. No issues have been delivered and it is now five and a half months after I paid for the magazine.They said to allow 7-11 weeks. I emailed about this and got no response. It is so disappointing that Rite Price magazines would take advantage of consumers. What they need is Rite Customer Service and Honesty. They seem not to know about either or don't care. To me, this constitutes fraud: take an order, take payment and don't see to it that delivery happens when an inquiry is made re non-delivery. From reading other complaints it is now clear that this is not a reliable company.Just a few days ago I finally ordered the magazine from a proven reliable company.

"Placed an order for Consumers Report magazine in July. Called in early Sept about it. Was told that my first magazine should arrive between 9/20 and 10/20. "Rite Price had a problem with orders placed during the week I placed mine. That's fine, mistakes happen.

However, I repeatedly inquired about my order - 4 times - 3 phone calls - and did not receive 1 reply.

Bad customer service all around. I ended up having to file a fraud complaint with my bank.

I suggest using DiscountMags.com - often you can find discount codes on slickdeals. I used them, and my gift orders all started before Christmas.

"I cannot get anyone to answer the phone nor can I email since they come back undeliverable to your customer service address. I ordered two subscriptions and it has been over 3 months since I ordered. You charged my account two times and I've received no magazine. The Better Business Bureau will be my next course of action since I have no way of speaking to anyone at your business. "

"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! Roberet, the owner, refused to do anything to resolve the issues I had with never receiving my subscription after 4 1/2 months of waiting. I did get a refund after at least 20 emails and a final, not so nice, phone call. Robert indicated that once he places the order with the publishers it is out of his hands regarding whether or not the subscription gets delivered. If he is the one selling the service, it is his responsibility to see that the magazines are sent, however, Robert did not agree. Good Greif-what kind of customer service is that and what kind of business is Rite Price? Robert said he didn't reply to me because he didn't like the tone of my emails. My tone would have been quite different had someone simply replied to my initial requests for updates on the order instead of simply ignoring them. Save yourself time and aggravation and do NOT place an order with Rite Price!"

"I wish I had checked into this company before ordering. I ordered a weekly magazine "US" on Sept. 13. It is now almost December. I have tried calling Rite Price Magazines and only get a recorded message telling me to email them with questions. OK - I have emailed them, but have never received a response. I checked with US Weekly and they do not have me as a subscriber. I know it can take a while to get a subscription, but going on 3 months with no proof I'm ever going to receive this magazine tells me I need to order from a company will a good reputation. Apparently other people have had this same experience with Rite Price. I cancelled the charge on my credit card - yes, they were prompt in charging me immediately, but apparently haven't even submitted my information to the magazine yet. 3 months or more to receive a magazine is not acceptable service, nor is lack of response to inquiries."

"I ordered my subscription to Consumer Reports 17 weeks ago, and have not received my subscription yet. I have emailed Rite Price 5 times in the past week with not one response. I have called Consumer Reports to see if they have me in their subscription database,.... no, they do not! I don't mind waiting a week or two past their longest expected waiting period. But, I am now 5 weeks past that time, AND they do not respond to any of my emails, very unprofessional.
If a simple reply to any one of my emails I sent during this work week would have been returned to me, I wouldn't be so discouraged with Rite Price's service, or lack there of.

Update 11/23/2010: Still no responses from email. Obviously they don't respond to emails.
Next was two phone calls... first was several rings then busy signal. Second call was finally answered. "In six weeks I should receive my subscription..."
At this point I just wanted my money back, and the customer service rep. understood my frustration and said he'd send a check. If I'd had waited for the sub. to come, it would have been 24 weeks, that's nearly 6 months from the time of my order!
Well, we shall see if they deliver my check, which I fully expect they will. As I have said before, all this could have been avoided, if Rite Price had simply responded to one of my emails I had sent them. The lack of communication is what drove me to this negative review..... so, Rite Price, if you're listening, just give a quick response to your customer's emails. They'll be appreciative, and more loyal in the future.

Update 11/26/2010: Response to Rite Price comment.
Yes, they did tell me the subscription being late wasn't there fault. BUT, this was after I had emailed them 5 times with not one response, AND I had to call them a total of three times to get ahold of them! So maybe it doesn't normally take 6 months to receive the first subscription, but perhaps it takes 6 months to receive a response to any emails sent to Rite Price.

"Ordered Economist from them back in July. Received one copy (was sent to wrong address because part of my address was cut off) in September. Robert tells me he will fix the address. It is now mid-November and I have yet to receive another copy. Have been trying to call them for the past week but no one picks up. Left two voicemails along with an email about my situation. No response. Called again today to find the number "not accepting calls." Will now dispute the purchase."
