"Purchased the chair online from “Rooms and things”. It came damaged. We refused to take it and the delivery people took it back. It is almost 3 weeks and we trying to contact: Rooms and things customer service department to find out when they planning to send us a new chair or give us our money back but nobody is picking up the phone. Left a message couple of times and still no answer from them. Does anybody have suggestions what to do?"
"I ordered the Cavalino bedroom furniture in May 1,2013. Around May 22nd the furniture was delivered. The head and footboard were damaged so I rejected the delivery and got in touch with Rooms and Things. They said they would put in another order. June 6, a head and footboard was delivered again damaged. Apparently, it was not suppose to have been delivered. I got a call from Manning Delivery saying the head and footboard is damaged therefore it will not be delivered. But it was still delivered. Again I rejected the delivery. It's been over a week I have been trying to call Rooms and Things and all I keep getting is a recording saying Customer Service is unavailable, please leave a message and someone will get back to you as soon as possible. Today is exactly a week and no one has returned my how many voice messages and emails I have left. This is strange because I was always able to get hold of someone. But it has become very fustrating as I have waited two and half months and still cannot get my head and footboard that I have already paid for. If anyone knows of an alternate number that I can reach them I would very much appreciate it. My bedroom looks crazy without a headboard. I have filed a complaint with Paypal since I cannot get hold of anyone. I would like my money back so that I can go and purchase a head and footboard some where else. Please if you have a number besides ***-***-****, please let me know."
"I will never buy anything from Rooms & Things again. They have taken the money from my account before ensuring that they even had the product they sold to me. Two thousand dollars later, I get an email telling me that they can't find what I ordered in any of their warehouses and must cancel my order. There is no mention whatsoever of a refund of my money.
I called customer service to inquire about my refund. After being advised to leave a voicemail because their customer service department was too busy, I hung up and sent an email instead. I wonder if they realize they can spend less on customer service if they don't sell things they don't have...
I would strongly suggest that your company find a way to accurately track your inventory before you take payment. Take a look at Amazon- they don't charge your account until the product is SHIPPED. What a concept!"
"Everything went great! One scare was one of the plastic things they sewed with was in the cushion. We were able to get it out but we were scared it would have to go back. I feel someone should have picked that up on checking the sofa out before shipping.
It was delivered well with no complaints and it was a pleasure dealing with this company.

Their prices and free shipping on my large order couldn't be beat, not to mention the extra percentage off from a sale. "If you guys ever buy new furniture you should try out Rooms And Things. Two years ago I went to Ashley Furniture to purchase a sofa set. It was going to cost about $2,500 for just the sofa and loveseat. But it was the only one I wanted. I found it online from Rooms And Things for $1,600. They offered free curb side shipping but I paid the $200 shipping that included carrying it in and setting it up since it was during a period when I was seperated. So I still saved several hundred dollars. So anyways, today I called them (almost two years after purchase) to find out about getting replacement cushion covers for the sofa (The kids have gotten ink pen on them at some point and I didn't purchase the protection plan like a dummy. I tried removing it with different leather cleaners but it made things worse). So they said they would get back to me. While I was waiting, I called Ashley Furniture to see what they would charge. The wanted almost $500 plus shipping for just 3 cushion COVERS! Not the whole cushion. Rooms And Things called me back very quickly to let me know that the manager would like to send them to me for FREE and to expect them in 2-3 weeks. I love this company and I won't ever shop anywhere else."
