"I’ll start off by saying I was skeptical at first at purchasing a mattress online without first laying down on it. So I took the plunge after reading several satisfied customer reviews. I’m not gonna lie I was motivated by purchasing a mattress with the highest intimacy rating. And so I found through a relatively easy search SAATVA. I thought to myself **** sales so I continued my search and every time it led me back to SAATVA. I picked up the phone and called to put in an order and was greeted by a pleasant sales person on the other line. In a brief moment I had successfully placed my order it was on my way to enjoying a good nights rest and above all intimacy with my wife. Fast forward to delivery date I received my mattress a Luxury firm as was recommended to me by the sales person since I am a side sleeper. When I got into the bed I was a bit disappointed at its softness and not firmness so I immediately called SAATVA to let them know of my initial experience and they were extremely helpful and understanding of my situation. They put in an order for a firm mattress and waived the $99 standard delivery fee. I received the new mattress and was very excited and happy that I took the plunge and made the order online. Overall the experience was very smooth, the sales people were very nice, the delivery was also a pleasant experience, and above all my sleep and intimacy are at an all-time high. I would certainly recommend this mattress to my own family and friends as well as to the rest of those who may be thinking about purchasing a new mattress. I had purchased the Loom & Leaf Mattress last year (memory foam but with "cooling" technology). My mattress pad was creating warm spots. Customer Service at Saatva recommended removing the mattress pad, which did help. But I wasn't comfortable sleeping directly atop the mattress without a pad. I wanted to upgrade my sleeping, so I invested in the Saatva Dreams mattress pad and the sheets. Generous return policy, so I figured it was worth the gamble. Two months later, and I still like them and am pleased with my decision. The one concern I initially had was that even the Saatva Dreams mattress pad sleeps warm atop the Saatva Loom & Leaf mattress (I'm in Florida), though not as noticeably warm as my previous mattress pad. If I were still living in Chicago, it would be perfect. But I'm not sure I would purchase memory foam again if I'm still in a year-round warm climate. But that's the mattress, not the pad and sheets, both of which I think are really, really comfortable.
The sheets are also high-quality. Stitching on all sides. The fitted sheet is deep and has elastic all the way around. The top sheet is the longest I have ever experienced. No problem if you prefer to fold it WAY back at the top end, similar to what they do in nice hotels. (I just tuck it in at the bottom end). And I especially liked that sheets and pad are made in a fair-trade factory. That is important to me and is what sealed the deal for me. If I'm spending this much money, I want to feel part of my money is going to help others.
As with any cotton sheets I have ever purchased, they do wrinkle easily. Just the way it is. If I were rich, I would have someone iron my pillow cases and sheets every day. But I'm not. So I live with it. (Besides, my eyes are typically closed when I sleep, so I don't notice it. And they are otherwise covered with a comforter.) ;-) I have ironed the pillow cases a couple times, and they do look sharp and feel extra nice. They were easy to iron--I lightly spray them with water and fold them prior to ironing, a trick my mother showed me years ago. But I'm not that picky, so they don't get ironed each week. The sheets are soft and they "breathe." I got the white sheets just because I like the "clean" feel they provide.
The sheets arrive packed in a nice, high-end gift box, with tissue paper and tied with a ribbon. In addition, they come with a nice thick-canvas bag that can be used at the beach or for shopping. I know this is just marketing, but it still feels as though you've purchased something special, perhaps from Bloomingdales or Neiman Marcus. I appreciated it the extra thought that went into the packaging. I felt if Saatva cared this much about the packaging, then they likely cared at least as much about the quality of their products. It helped confirm for me that I had made a good choice. (If you were giving the sheets as a gift and mailing it directly to the person, it would be noticeably upscale compared to arriving in an Amazon box.) Thumbs up! "
