"I approached DIY screen changing with some amount of reluctance, but the minimum two week turn around time for the factory to replace the screen was totally unacceptable.
Placing the order was simple, the shipment was made as stated and the tracking meaningful. The screen arrived in new condition successfully. The online instructional video was of paramount importance and was very close to what I found. The video procedure was followed and in the install went pretty smooth. One word of caution, have plenty of room for the tiny screws and some way of containing them.

I watched the video of a similar replacement on youtube and replaced the laptop screen myself. Took me about 10 minutes. MSI CX70. Original screen was less than 18 months old and it clunked out. "Order the screen replacement on Sunday a.m. had it delivered on Wednesday. I found the service manual online from HP and was ready to disassemble the broken screen and install the new one. The replacement screen was perfect. Actually a Samsung, the original was a LG. Just make sure to follow the directions closely and you will have no problems. Trouble-free install. If i would have ordered the part,682089-001, directly from HP would have cost me $320!! The replacement screen only cost $58. HP tries to sell you the whole display with the aluminum back cover and everything but i didn't need that just the replacement screen to fix the broken pixels that created the weird ink blur. "Screen country" had an excellent search engine. All you got to do is type in your computer's model number, bam, immediately shows you the new screen with two options, glossy or matte finish. To easy!"
