"I ordered a mask from them and received it in good shape and in a reasonable amount of time. Pleasant shopping experience overall, but the shipping portion of the checkout is quirky. They offered free shipping with the item, but I had to select a date like two weeks out before the free ground shipping option shows up on the screen, and other shipping options seemed high. I did get the item within about a week, but I do live nearby. I would do business with them again."

Quick recap - ordered 2 lights, 2 hangers, and a few other items. 1 minute after checking out, wife gets an email that the lights and a couple of other pieces of gear we wanted for an upcoming trip to Monterey were out of stock - NO warning on the website during selection or purchase. She immediately calls and cancels the order.
While on our trip a week later, she gets a "your order has shipped notice". After returning from the trip, she calls and is promised a full refund (items and shipping)AND a refund of our shipping costs to return the items. She is told "this happened to a bunch of people last week."
Refund of original order/shipping amount shows up, but not the cost of the return shipping. I call and am told "we refunded the full amount, call paypal and ask them where your money is." I'm informed by paypal the "refund" function only works up to the original order amount, and that the vendor must pay me the additional separately. Call scuba.com back and get "oh, our bad, we'll get right on it." I tell them to make sure to use the "personal", not "purchase", to avoid fees.
A few hours later, $18 (minus paypal fee) is paid to my paypal account - too bad it's still $10.95 plus the $.82 paypal fee less than our total expense. Wife calls back again and is transferred to Jenny (in orders/refunds section) who proceeds to berate my wife and nastily tells her that it's already been taken care of. Wife tries to explain that it's still short and she gets more attitude from Jenny. Wife hangs up, calls back customer service and is told "a disciplinary report will be initiated" and it will be taken care of.
Meanwhile, many days later, still no $11.77.
I won't buy from them again, and I suggest no one else buy from them either."
"I do a LOT of online shopping, and I am very careful to pick who gets my business. After reading many reviews and recommendations in favor of Scuba.com, I decided to purchase a wetsuit and diving light from them. Let me tell you, this has been the WORST online shopping/customer service experience I have ever had. They shipped me the wrong flashlight, so I diligently returned it, and asked to have the right light shipped to me. Well, they refunded my card, and never shipped me another light. After 12 phone calls to 3 different associates and 1 manager, (and 15 days later) I finally am having the correct light shipped to me, though it won't arrive for another 14 days...Not only that, but Scuba.com failed to stick by their 150% Protection Guarantee because Clarke the manager said he "just couldn't". Chad was a nice guy, but never called me back or actually did what he said he was going to do. Darrick was awkward, and woudn't respond to me on the phone, and he messed up the order so that I didn't receive a replacement. These guys wasted over $350 of money I had spent for a night dive trip, and then I didn't have a light. Not only did they NOT honor their price protection, they didn't do anything to make up for my losses, and I'm receiving the light literally a month later. HORRIBLE store, DO NOT BUY. This is literally my very first consumer rating, because that's how strongly I feel about this company. Save your time and money and buy elsewhere."
"I ordered a replacement fin strap and some clips. It was nothing large, but crucial to my diving. It shipped quickly and got here promptly so I could dive again. The fin clips have recently been re-designed, and they had the new model for a very reasonable price. I would definitely purchase scuba accessories from them again."
"I've ordered several times now from this merchant. They're authorized dealers for the merchandise I've purchased from them. From my experiences, they carry the latest goods, not old stock. Their prices were a bit cheaper than I could find elsewhere. One item was a new product from the manufacturer with scuba.com the only place I could find it and at a very good price. Though it was a back ordered item, it was shipped within an acceptable time frame, before anyone else carried it. Very rapid email response from them. I'll continue to purchase merchandise from this retailer. "
"I ordered a Pinacle wetsuit from scuba.com and quickly received an email that my credit card was prosessed and the order was being pulled. Eight days later I received another Email stating that the items would be shipped separately and that a new delivery date of July 17. The order was placed in March and they would deliver in July?? I checked my credit card and it had been charged on the March date that I ordered. I decided to call Scuba.com and was told that the item was on order from the manufacture(Pinacle) and the shipping date was determined by them. I cancelled the order. It took 5 day to get my credit card refund(took 1 day for them to charge it). The only item I ordered was the wetsuit so I should have been notified and had the backorder option to cancel.Their website both before and after the sale showed the item as available even though the manufacture told them it would be several months to get. My credit card was charged even though this seller had no product. I will not try and buy from them again "

When we had to exchange our item due to a manufacturer defect, the process was incredibly simple - just ship back to them, and they took care of it within days. The people we spoke to on the phone were courteous, friendly, and helpful! "
"Quick responses to my emails help me sort out a problem with a backordered item. First, unlike some places, they actually informed me that the item was backordered and gave me options of ordering alternate products.
They gave me an estimated ship date for the backordered product, and actually delivered the item well before that date.
