"Bought a Rocket Apartamento, up-sold me on an extended warranty. Machine started rusting on year 2. They are hiding behind their warranty policy that states that 'normal wear and tear are not covered'.
A rusting machine is not normal wear and tear its poor build quality.
If you decide to buy from them, just make sure you don't pick up and extended warranty because nobody will back it up."
"I've been a Fully Automatic espresso machine user for years!
Now it was time to replace my XSMALL from SAECO.
This shop has unbeatable pricing and amazing support!
Thanks for your quick responses"
"They sell crap machines that fail after less than four months. Then when you call them for service, they want nothing to do with you. Just awful."
"Poor service would be better than what they provide. I left a voice message on Monday. I write this on Thursday evening and I've yet to receive a return call."
"Very rude staff, I was discussing price match with the sales rep and the agent hung on me because I just asked them why they are refusing even though the sales Manage said she will price match the item. Will never buy from such business and who are so rude to sell an item, image what will be their behavior if call back for support."
"Really great. Experience was awesome. Thanks for everything! "
"Just purchased the Miele CM 5500. Its beyond what I dreamed a fully automatic can accomplish, not to mention the best tasting espresso I’ve ever had. Great price - Great Machine! Thank you Gail for introducing."
"Company wouldn't not honor a coupon issued to be used with any purchase online. When I tried to use the coupon I was told that the parts I purchased, some client service advisor said that company won't accept the same coupon issued by Seattle Coffee Gear.
SO THE QUESTION I HAVE: WHY SEND A COUPON IN THE 1ST PLACE IF YOU NOT GONNA HONOR IT?!?
Don't waste your time, go shop to other coffee gear shops, this one don't care about customers."
"Beware....
Many years ago offered good repair service. More recently exactly the opposite. You do not want to send your machine to these people for repair. Mine recently took 3 months, came back in worse shape than I sent it.
Along the way, passive/aggressive responses from management and the repair center. Multiple broken promises and fumbled work that forced me to to deal directly with Phillips who now own Saeco to finally get it working properly away from Seattle Coffee Gear.
If you Google Seattle Coffee Gear repair complaints, you'll find a growing list of customer service complaints as I did after I encountered problems with them. Unfortunately they already had my machine. I did not check before sending as I had had multiple good experiences with them years back.
If you need service on a Saeco machine you'll do much better calling Phillips' excellent support center at ***-***-**** and having them vector you to an effective repair shop."
"Very good customer service....helped us work through any issues and we were very satisfied! Really glad we purchased through them!"
"I've been buying coffee from Seattle Coffee Gear for several years and never had the opportunity to call customer service. Usually my orders would last from two to three months before reordering.
Last week I opened a bag of coffee and it smelled sour and tasted sour so I put a call into customer service to see if this was reported by others. I was told that this was a "natural" product and I had stored it too long. When I asked where this was written on the bag or on their web site I was told I should of known and it was my fault I didn't know. So right away they put the customer on the defensive.
Seattle Coffee Gear needs to take lessions from Chewy.com who has excellent customer service."
"Terrible. I bought a carafe for my Moccamaster, and it was the wrong size. I called them and they said they'd send me an RMA. I never got it. When I called to remind them, they told me it was outside their "policy". Of course, as a first (and last) time customer, I didn't know about this policy. NEVER WILL BUY FROM THESE IDIOTS AGAIN."
"save yourself the headache, salesman lied to me to close the sale, items arrived broken and not working, getting things fixed was a nightmare, they sent a tech out 3 times before replacing a brand new $2,500 piece of equipment. no one cares about your problem, your just an inconvenience to everyone in the company. and its not even like i was asking for favor i just wanted what i paid for in working order so I could open my coffee shop. they forgot item in my order, their mistake and wouldn't even rush ship them to me so i could open. you would think spending over 22k on coffee equipment would cause them to care even a little bit...WRONG!"
"I purchased a machine for $1,000. It arrived damaged and had obviously been used. Avoid at all costs."
"Do not believe “free 5 day shipping” as stated on Seattle Coffee Gear website! I ordered a Saeco automatic espresso from Seattle Coffee Gear on 8/30/17. The company sent an email acknowledgement of the order. On 8/31/17, the shipper sent me an email that it would be delivered on 9/8/17. This is 9 days not 5 days.
I called their service number and was told that sometimes it takes 9 days. The website says 5 day free shipping! Asked that a manager to call me back, when someone did call back I was told to go to the bottom of their webpage and read the fine print regarding shipping policy. However, the order page does not state up to 9 days. I have not even gotten the Saeco machine yet, and have a very bad feeling about how this company does business. How will they handle it if there are problems with my new Sacco, least it is suppose to be a new machine? They set my expectations of a 5-day free delivery when it actually is 9-days. As I told the person, I spoke with this is the first and last time I will be a customer of Seattle Coffee Gear. I do not trust that they will perform in a professional or ethical manner.
