Second Spin’s reviews is under two stars in average. For us, we decided to try selling our pre-owned CDs and DVDs to them (terrible mistake). We will never use them again.
The amount initially quoted was over $60. We should have been suspicious when we were was asked to pay for the shipment on a 19lb box of CDs and DVD Cost $12.35 at the media rate. We check all are item before shipment and it’s interesting that Second Spin said so many of our products were scratched or missing. We call BS on this. We understand that items could be busted during shipping and not accept. But eventually, they only paid me $52.45 + (for 72 CD’s/DVD) and less than $5.26 reimbursement for shipping.
We tried working this out with their customer service department but that was a complete waste of time. The CSR stated “Sorry, we cannot offer more credit if your shipping costs are higher. If you ship multiple sell orders in the same box, the orders will be combined and you will only receive one shipping reimbursement based on the number of units accepted from the combined order. We reserve the right to refuse any sell order at our discretion”

"My experience with second spin was horrible waited months for my order sent email after email to them there was always so excuse for the issue was sent an email from them saying that they gave me a refund but where's the money. All I have to say is if you want to just give your money away contact second spin they are there with there hand out "

The amount initially quoted was over $120. I should have been suspicious when I was asked to pay for the shipment (Decluttr sends you a prepaid label). I paid $29+ for shipment. Well, it’s interesting that Second Spin said so many of my products were scratched or missing. I understand that there were some products they were not going to accept. But eventually, they only paid me $14.95 + less than $5 reimbursement for shipping. So I got less than $20 total, even though I paid $29+ for shipping. Essentially, I paid $10 for them to take my items. I wish I had gone with Decluttr or just donated to charity. I tried working this out with their customer service department but that was a complete waste of time. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!"
"I placed an order for some dvds. I paid $85 for shipping. They shipped my order in three separate boxes via courier. I live in Canada and was stuck with three different courier fees because of this. With the fees and the original shipping it cost me close to $150 for one order of DVDs. The customer service department does not see any problem with this. I am pretty sure that what they did is illegal. "
"Stick with Decluttr. I’ve been using them for a long time and they are a much more pleasant company to work with. Secondspin only reimburses you if you get an item
reimbursement check for $10 or more and they only reimburse you for up to 25 items. When you are reselling DVDs and CDs in my experience, you are lucky if you get a dollar for an item. Most are anywhere from $.05-$.30. This company makes it virtually impossible to get a reimbursement for shipping and my experience with them was one and done. "
"I bought a DVD from them off amazon (amazon has the a to a protection thing but it has to go through shopping cart) the price was $3.99 I got charged $4.98 i asked they said something about buying right then (i didn't have it in cart or wishlist) I seen it hit add to cart. Guess they r saying if u go through cart for the protection you will be charged more"

"They have a great selection, and I've bought 11 times from them in the past year. I find the shipping with-in reasonable time frame, and my orders all have been correct-except One Time they sent me a collection I did not order. After contacting them about the additional dvds in my order...they sent me a pre-paid shipping label to return the item. So far all has been as expected, and I'm very satisfied...I was surprised by all the negative feed-back on this site about them."

"As an avid movie collector I was pretty excited when I stumbled across this company online. They had some great low prices for used dvd's and a fairly large selection. Unfortunately that's where the good news ends. I've had issue with pretty much every other order I have placed. DVD's with water damaged covers, an unhealthy amount of stickers plastered all over the covers, have received a few broken disks, received the wrong titles on multiple occasions. Now as no stranger to buying used, I know the risks, but never has a company been so terrible when it comes to the quality of their used products. Last but not least, their delivery times are absurd. I've had orders placed on a Monday not even get shipped until Friday, if it was a weekend or holiday I could understand, but it never was. Do not waste your money paying for faster shipping because half the time you will still be waiting as long, if not longer, than you would had you paid for standard shipping. "
"I tried secondspin on a recommendation of a website list of options for trading in media. The lack of a dedicated mobile app to scan items to see if they are worth anything is the first negative. Second, only after typing individual bar codes from about a hundred items did I see that you have to front the shipping cost to them, only being reimbursed for USPS Media Mail shipping after.
The catch is they only reimburse up to 25 items and don't pay what it cost to ship. You have to then sell at least 10 dollars or more and ship a certain number of items to get a shipping credit. The max payout that you can get in shipping was less than what I paid to send only 17 items to them. It makes it very difficult to find items worth enough that weigh little enough to make it worth sending.
Bottom line, this service is a HUGE waste of time and I encourage you to try decluttr or another service with prepaid labels with no limits or games on how many you can send in. I will NEVER use this site again. Please stay away!"

"I ordered some CDs; SecondSpin sent me a box of random CDs; and when I wrote to them to inform them of this mistake, there was...silence. I wrote again, after several days, and a few more days after that, I received a message back saying that the CDs I had originally ordered were out of stock (except for one) and that they would refund the money. Fine. But what to do with the CDs they sent me? It has taken them three weeks (and a lot of back and forth) to figure out that they should send me a prepaid return label. I should not have to work this hard to get their mistake fixed, and I really don't understand how their customer service can be this poor. in an age when Amazon's customer service is consistently competent, I see no reason to keep buying from SecondSpin."
"I have been using Secondspin for about 10 years. In all that time I have never had an order go missing. All my orders have been received in great condition. Fantastic Service , reasonable shipping charges to the UK and fair priced items."
"When they send you back the disc, it comes back damaged. Dishonest company.
