"I just completed my order and I anxiously wait for the mattress to arrive. I am a longtime owner of a Select Comfort bed. Although I love this bed, it does leave room for improvement. Selectabed addressed all the issues I have with my current bed on their website. I feel sure my new bed will be the improvement I am looking for.
Customer Service cannot be beat. I have never experienced such knowledgeable sales people. They are NOT PUSHY. They are simply informative. I spoke at great length with Alec and Brian. "We like the bed real well, but it is a bear to make. We bought the king with the 2 separate mattresses. but we have them on one headboard and it is very hard to get the fitted bottom sheets on the mattresses. Getting them on the inside is the problem. Also the pillows we got we cannot use, they hurt our necks. Haven't been able to find twin fitted sheets that fit very well. They all seem to be too big and wrinkle real bad. If you know of a set of sheets we can get that fit this bed well I would appreciate know where we can get them and the cost. The reason we bought the separate mattresses is because we have the Temporpedic frame that you can control the head and foot up and down on each side and we both like it different."

"If you sleep hot, go elsewhere! My experience since returning this mattress confirms it was the foam construction and not just me, as they claimed. While this was fine for my girlfriend, I have since slept much cooler on Latex, and even cooler on Traditional Spring Mattresses with Foam Comfort Layers, neither of which they offered me as a fix, though they make them. Still, I'd recommend them highly over Sleep Number, as this is a 3-Chamber Adjustable Air Bed that's better than Sleep Number for a much better price. They also honor their guarantees if it doesn't work for you. That being said, the alternatives they provided to fix my up-front stated heat concerns were more like minor tweaks than the "Don't worry, we can fix anything" range of options stated before purchase. Also, their very first fix for my "sleeping hot" was to send me off to Amazon to buy a separate product that turned out to cost $500 and had lousy reviews. After returning to them with a firm "No" to that, they supported me better in-house, but every time I had a concern, only the Owner had the power to fix anything, and he never seemed to be up to speed on my case. Every time we spoke, a bit of a push was required to remind him of my situation, the solutions already tried, and what wasn't working. Ultimately, it made him sound more like a disingenuous salesman than truly supportive as his words were trying to indicate. Also, other "outside purchase" solutions were repeatedly offered in the form of pads, cooling fans, etc., to make their product work for me instead of just admitting their product does NOT work for HOT SLEEPERS. Note: Their patented "holes in the foam" innovation didn't help. To be fair, as the owner, he has a bottom line to protect, but I took this into consideration in writing this. In the end, their approach cost me 6-months of Terrible Sleep that could have been avoided if they had simply admitted from the start that their product is GOOD QUALITY, BUT NOT FOR EVERYONE!"

"We had a waterbed for 40 years and just got tired of the getting in and out of bed and waking the other person. We first visited the factory in LA and then went home and decided to get the bed. The price is far less than other foam beds which in my opinion is a rip off prices. So we bought a CA King for around $1500 and it was delivered to our home. It is not compressed so it takes two people to drag it into the house. It fit perfectly in our waterbed frame and so far it is very comfortable and if one of us has to get up in the middle of the night you never know it....Best Bed Ever!"
"I originally ordered a tri-pedic platinum mattress (cal-king) and it wasn't firm enough for me. I called Selectabed customer service and they immediately connected me to one of their orthopedists who asked me some questions about my age (36), body type (6'3" and 240 lbs -- bodybuilder), and any pre existing medical problems (none). Being a bodybuilder the orthopedist said that I needed a little more support than the standard platinum model. He made the arrangements to have my mattress picked up, modified, and shipped back to me (all of this was free of charge) in just 3 weeks!!! With the custom modifications to my mattress I sleep so solid... like a rock!!! I would highly recommend Selectabed to anyone in search of a mattress that will help send you off to some of the best sleep you will ever have!"
"After doing quite a bit of research on mattresses, we chose Selectabed. I spoke with one of the managers on the phone and from the questions he asked about our sleeping habits he made a suggestion on which mattresses would be best for us. No pressure, and he didn't even suggest the more expensive ones. I bought this sight unseen without even trying it out first. It was one of the best purchase I've ever made. They custom make them just for you and then deliver and set up. Took about 6 weeks, seeing as how they're in California and we're in Connecticut. We've had it about a year and a half now and couldn't be more happy. Really was nice after I had surgery and I was able to make it firmer for a while while I recouperated. Whole process of buying on line was seamless. Price was great too. My sister bought a sleep number bed and paid over 8000.00!!!!! Ugh! You really can't go wrong with this product!

Also, with you mentioning that the heat issue was only isolated in one area of your body, yet the comfort was were it needed to be, we were trying very hard to come up with a solution that would not affect the rest of the mattress benefits you were enjoying. The suggestion of a cooling device was not unreasonable, yet we certainly did not mean to convey that there were no other solutions that were viable, but rather we were just trying to come up with all of the reasonable options and it wasn't until your last call when you brought up purchasing a whole different kind of mattress that it then made sense to move completely away from what you had and let you know that we can offer you any type of mattress you would like to try. With that said, we could have done better, so we apologize for this and we will definitely use it as a learning experience to help our company grow further in its customer service abilities.”
