"I ordered five New HP SAS Server Hard Drives overnight. One of the five was DOA. I got an RMA to send it back. I ordered a replacement overnight. It arrived in two days. That drive was DOA as well. They would not refund the entire $42. FEDEX charge completely. They would only refund $13. I got an RMA for that one. I ordered another overnight (another $42) it arrived on time ant that one was OK. "I placed an order for a relatively inexpensive piece of hardware that we urgently needed at a retail location. I paid for the expensive 2-day shipping - the order total was around $140. The next thing I know a message arrives in my spam filter alerting me that my order was on-hold until I called my bank and added the shipping address to my bank account as an alternative shipping address. I seriously did not even know that banks did that anymore - the last time I called a bank to add a shipping address for a vendor was in 2002! Instead of them calling me considering the expedited shipping option to deliver this news they chose some automated canned message. So I replied to the message and let them know that I would not be calling my bank and to just ship the product to my home/billing address and I would handle the inconvenience. Well it was about 12 days ago that I submitted that reply and attempted to call this company to ensure my order was being shipped out. I did mention at the top of my review that this was urgent, and we even paid for expedited shipping right? Well we decided to just find the thing on Amazon instead of supporting this small business because....well....Amazon had no problem shipping it to my office, or getting it to us in a day...for free. Normally for business purchases I like to give the small ma n pa shops the chance to handle our hardware needs vs. using Amazon...I only wish that Server Supply Inc. were more into even the 2010s or 2020s way of doing business. I would certainly understand if this had been an obvious fraudulent order with 100 pieces of obscure fiber cab equipment for $20k on a random Amex Gold. Alas....it was a $129 ATA for a retail branch store location. I am sure if you have an existing relationship with this outfit that they take great care of you. They just did not seem to care about my one-off order even though I have sent them plenty of business over the years at other organizations. I hope this not only shares my story with potential shoppers, I more so hope that someone in management or ownership at Server Supply will see this and understand the pure frustration that caused such a negative reaction and review. I think dropping the ball and leaving me hanging with absolutely no response was really the final inspiration to leave a verbose review such as this one. "
"I tend to keep Server Supply as my go-to (first) location for server drives. But in this purchase, I even called to verify one Dell drive vs another and the rep told me which one had the tray so I went with that one. However, no tray was shipped for either drive. At least the drives are what I wanted and the trays are no big deal. "
