"I was told that the car would be arriving on Friday and no other day was ever mentioned. I called the driver on Thursday at noon to see how things were going since they had just picked up the car Wednesday night at 9:00pm. He says, I will be there around 3:00. The car was being shipped from Maryland to Missouri. I said, I will see you tomorrow. He says not tomorrow, I will see you in 3 hours. This would normally be great...the car was arriving early, but I had made all my arrangements for Friday and was not available on Thursday afternoon since I had no reason to be. So make sure you communicate with the driver early and often. They did work with me on the total price and I am satisfied with the outcome so i still gave them 4 stars. The drivers were very nice and the car arrived in perfect shape."

"We placed the order to move our car shortly before Thanksgiving. We were told that there wouldn't be many trucks driving over the Thanksgiving weekend, which was understandable. The following Monday, we expected some information and got none. The same was true for Tuesday. On Wednesday, we received a call at about 2 p.m. asking if we could have the car ready for transport by 3 p.m. We expected a little more of a heads up, but were able to have the car ready. Unfortunately, the driver called at about 4 p.m. and said he would pick up the car in an hour and a half. The car was finally picked up at 7 p.m.
So the car was picked up on Wednesday and the delivery window was scheduled to begin the following Tuesday. A day later, we received a call that the car would be delivered the next morning. No one would be there to accept the delivery, so the car was left in a lot about two hours away. Fortunately, we were able to pick up the car directly from the lot upon arrival from our move. It actually worked out bettet that way, but the trucking company that moved the car was very shady about the details. They refused to tell us the location of the lot until the day we were going to pick up the vehicle. We called several times requesting the information, but were told no. This was extremely concering, but it ended up working out. On the morning of our arrival, the trucking company finally shared the information and we were able to Uber to the lot. "
"I placed the order 3 weeks before the requested pick up date. It said to allow an extra day or two for pickup. Since the car had to be picked up prior to November 28th, I set the date for the 25th. Tried to call on the 25th and 26 to confirm pick up time since I was told the estimated date was the 26th. Left numerous messages with the contracted shipper as well as the rep from Ship A Car Direct. No returned calls. It wasn't until I left a stern message saying the car needed to be picked up before the 28th because my mom was flying out on the 28th, that I recieved any call back. Then it was, the shipper is delayed because of weather. Would have been nice to communicate that to me earlier so that alternate solutions could have been discussed instead of turning into a last minute crisis. Luckily my mom had someone she could leave the car with so that it could be picked up two days late. Otherwise it would had been a real issue. Still, having to scramble at the last minute is not what a customer wants to do. And not being notified that the car wasn't going to be picked up on the 26th as scheduled is unacceptable. I understand the weather is an issue but communicate that with the customer. Otherwise, how are you supposed to know? If I didn't call, I would have no idea they weren't showing up on the 26th as scheduled. I have used Ship A Car Direct in the past and the communication was wonderful. The rep called with every update and kept me in the loop with what they discussed with the shipper. Unfortunately, that didn't happen this time. I had to take the initiative to keep calling numerous times until I got a hold of either the shipper or Ship A Car Direct to coordinate the change in details since the car was being picked up past the scheduled deadline. Good thing that all ended well. Once picked up, the shipper got the car from California to New York quickly with no issues. To make the experience better, I would suggest calling the customer back when they leave the first message, not after they leave numerous additional messages. "
