Hello,
I booked a charter bus through Shofur for my wedding on Saturday, March 16, 2019, and it was an absolute disaster. The bus was supposed to arrive at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas Hotel & Casino at 4:45 pm, drop our guests off at the El Dorado Dry Lake Bed at 6:00 pm, transport our guests to the Park on Fremont at 8:00 pm, then drop our guests back off at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas Hotel & Casino at 10:00 pm. When the bus did not arrive at 4:45 pm, I proceeded to call Shofur for an update. My calls went unanswered for 10 minutes before finally someone picked up. The Shofur employee was unable to get in touch with or locate the bus driver and became increasingly frustrated. The employee ultimately gave us the phone number for the driver because he stated he couldn’t get in touch with the driver and he wasn’t the person we should be mad at. Several members of our wedding party called the driver and we NEVER had our call answered. The Shofur employee called us to let us know that the bus was at the wrong location and they would be there shortly. The bus finally arrived at 5:40 pm, 50 minutes late for our outdoor sunset wedding. I wish I could say the chaos ended there. The charter bus driver asked my grandmother who was in the closest seat to him, if she knew where they were supposed to be going. She told him no and that she was not from Nevada. She proceeded to ask him in a joking manner, “don’t you know where we are going?” His response: “no.” Did I mention that he told my guests several times that the bus he was driving wasn’t his bus? Not sure if that was supposed to excuse his behavior or if he was just informing people. When he was asked if the bathrooms could be used, his response again was “I don’t know, this isn’t my bus. My bus is in California.” The bus and our guests ended up going to the next town, several miles past our wedding location before the driver again announced that he didn’t know where to go. My brother-in-law finally went to the front of the bus and let the driver know that he had passed the location and it was a few miles back, as the driver clearly did not know what he was doing. The driver tried to correct his mistake by turning around, but he ended up DRIVING ON A STATE HIGHWAY GOING THE WRONG WAY. The entire bus was panicking as there were several vehicles heading straight for them as they drove on the highway. Most of the vehicles pulled off the highway to get out of the way. With all vehicles around them stopped, the bus was able to do another illegal u-turn on the highway to get going in the right direction. The photos from this event are extremely disturbing and every single one of our guests told us they were scared for their lives when that bus was going the wrong way. The bus finally made it to the location (which can be seen from the road the bus was on) at 6:35 pm. Our ceremony was to begin at 6:00 pm. From the time the bus arrived to the time the bus left, it was 26 minutes. 26 minutes for our entire ceremony and all of our wedding photos. The sun went down and we couldn’t take any more photos due to the darkness. Again, I wish I could say the chaos ended there. The bus dropped my guests off at 8:00 pm and when it was time for the bus to pick up my guests at 10:00 pm, we stood and watched as it passed the restaurant and just kept driving. We all thought he was going around the block because it was busy and we were on the opposite side of the street and in order for us to get on the bus, we would have all needed to cross the street. My guests stood outside of the Park on Fremont for over an hour as we tried to get in touch with the driver and Shofur. Again, the driver NEVER answered our call. The Shofur employee again, was very upset with us as we continued to look to him to resolve this issue with his company/driver. The bus NEVER came to a complete stop, nor did it come back to the restaurant. We had several items left on the bus because I told our guests the bus was picking us back up and taking us to the hotel. Our night ended with us using Uber and Lyft to transport our 40 guests back to the hotel. The Shofur manager on duty told us we had to come pick up the items that were left on the bus if we wanted them back. When my partner asked him if he was actually asking us to leave our own wedding celebration in order to pick up items their driver failed to deliver, he said yes. Again, I paid for the shuttle to drop everyone back off at the hotel after the dinner. My mother ended up going to Shofur at midnight on my wedding night to pick up what your company should have dropped back off with my guests. We are from Houston, Texas. I had 40 guests fly to Las Vegas for our wedding and they experienced firsthand exactly how awful your company is. My suggestion for the future, make sure you let your drivers know not to drive the wrong way on a highway, at least not with a few lawyers on board. This is a formal request for a full refund of the money paid to your company for the event on March 16, 2019. Thank you for making my wedding day a very stressful one! I truly hope this request is much easier to fulfill than what we asked of you on March 16, 2019."

"We recently booked Shofur for transportation services for our event. Unfortunately, the wrong date was contracted for the service - which we take 100% responsibility for (we needed Tuesday, but booked Monday by accident) .
Other than an email for payment for the initial booking - there was ZERO follow up from the company - ZERO.
We called to confirm the shuttle the day prior, as well as the morning of - and no one mentioned that the date was incorrect - and/or that the service had already happened. They even confirmed pick up notes that I had given to them.
Our bus apparently showed up (Monday night), sat there for an hour and then drove away. No phone call, no email, nothing. There was no attempt to reach anyone. No attempt to email, or call even the following day. Also, when following up on the day we thought the booking was for - and confirmed - no mention that the booking had already happened - the person on the phone confirmed that they would be there.
Again, I take responsibility for booking the wrong date - totally my fault - but I did my due diligence and followed up prior to with confirmations as well as confirming the day of.
I find it completely unacceptable that no one followed up with our company. We paid $3000 and there was NO ATTEMPT of a phone, call, email, nothing... I had to follow up again to ask for an explanation of what happened - even after being promised someone would follow up with me.
Super unimpressed. Totally accepting it was our mistake booking the incorrect date - but super unhappy that the confirmation process we have in place should have caught these mistakes.
I wasn't even asking for a refund, but, some kind of follow up.

Luckily - Austin Charter was able to provide last minute shuttles for us at a fraction of the cost within an hour. They also had the driver’s text and call when they arrived. Shofur could learn a thing or two from them....
