"Very good prices, easy to use site, and perfect execution of the order. I found the site through Froogle.com and confirmed the quality with resellerratings.com. So far I've purchased from them twice and have been really pleased. This is my new first stop for computer hardware and software now."
"Terrible Communication + Inaccurate Stock Counts = Dismal Customer Service
06/25/04: I placed an order for a Netgear GS108 switch/GA302T NIC combo. Periodically I checked their online “Track My Order” to follow the status of the order. Later that afternoon, the status showed as “Order was processed”, but showed no indication of if it was shipped. I made a point of making a PDF of the product description page, which shows 82 in stock, normally shipping in 1 day, and a price of $128.19.
06/30/04: The order continued to show “Order was Processed”, so I e-mailed them to verify if it had indeed been shipped.
07/01/04: Still no response from my e-mail inquiry. Early that morning I use their feedback form to again inquire about the status of my order. I also check the product description page which now shows 58 in stock, still shipping in 1 day, but the price has changed to $157.42 and curiously it now costs $2 more to ship that it did the previous week (from $8.99 to $10.99). Obviously someone is alive at ShopperWiz to update the listing, but apparently they are not available to respond to their customers.
07/01/04: Afternoon and still no response. Finally, I call (long distance, no 800 number) and am informed by a fellow that they are out of stock. I ask why I wasn’t informed, why my order status never showed this information, why they did not respond to any of my other inquiries, and why the product listing which has obviously been updated still showed 58 units in stock. He couldn’t begin to muster a satisfactory answer to any of them. He could not find my e-mail (which I can confirm was delivered to their mail server), couldn’t explain the discrepancy between the website and their warehouse other than to say “they need to update the website”, and could only manage to say “you should have received an e-mail” about the product being out of stock. Not even so much as an apology or any offer to mitigate the problem in any way.
They have since managed to update my order status to “Cancelled” (the only thing they’ve done quickly in this entire transaction), but as of this writing the product info page (http://www.shopperwiz.com/shopdisplaydetail.asp?REF=D_BRAND&id=96778056) still shows 58 available to be shipped to unsuspecting customers...
Don’t waste your time or money with this establishment. There are far better (in every sense of the word) vendors with whom to conduct business.
Addition July 5th 2004 in response to ShopperWiz Response of July 2nd:
The order number was entered into the ResellerRatings review form, I did not think it necessary to repeat in the comment area. For your convenience, it is 80986. As far as remaining anonymous, were anyone motivated there was ample detail in my message to identify the order (date placed, product ordered, date cancelled by phone, e-mail address identical to ResellerRatings username). In general, I'm not in the habit of posting non-essential personal information in public forums.
With regards to the described process in your 2nd paragraph, the policy sounds fine but I have scanned my mail server logs and can assure you that the only communication I received from ShopperWiz was the initial order confirmation e-mail. I can also provide the mail server log file showing successful receipt of my message to you by your mail server on 6/30 if you would like. If you had sent e-mail notifying me that the item was out of stock and I had not responded, you also had my phone number as part of the order process.
Speaking of phone numbers, you may very well have an 800 number. But how are customers to know about it when it is not given either on your main page or even your "contact us" page? Unfortunately I did neglect to get the name of the gentleman who took my call. I can say that it was answered promptly and did not take long.
I appreciate your response. However the only 'answer' I see that would make any difference would be the originally ordered product at the originally posted price, less shipping for the delay. The proof is in your actions, the rest is just talk. According to your site you now have 74 in stock. I’ll be happy to update this review to "Neither Satisfied nor Dissatisfied" upon successful resolution of the issue."
"In two words, simply amazing. highly recommended! item was shipped the same day, i received it the next. couldn't ask for better shipping or lower prices"
"Wonderful service! Ordered a Zire yesterday and it arrived FedEx ground today. The order process was easy and I'm thrilled with the fast turnaround. I also appreciate the steps the company has taken to fight fraud -- making people who have a ship to address different than the billing address notify their credit card company to register the alternative shipping address. I am very pleased. It was at a great price, in-stock, and delivered fast. The actual Palm unit I received had a faulty power switch and Shopperwiz sent out a replacement overnight -- I can get the data from the defective one moved over to the new one before I have to send back the old one. They were easy to deal with, prompt, and helpful."
"A+ trans. Product as described (Epson VGA projector bulb). Well Packaged. Prompt delivery. "
"Outstanding service. Very competetive pricing. FREE FDX shipping.
I was amazed how quickly they processed and shipped my order. Very impressed!
Bought Canon i80 printer."
"Had by far the best price on my item on the net. I searched numerous suppliers, and this was the best. My order went through quickly, and the item was shipped right away via FedEx. I would definitely recommend this supplier, very good overall experience."
"Items got here in about a week. Items were as expected and there was only minor crinkling on the box."
"I ordered a USB drive/MP3 player, for the best price I could find. Great reviews on here convinced me it was going to be the real deal, and it was. It arrived in two days, faster than I could have ever hoped for. Definitely recommended."
"They had a good price on an APC UPS, I ordered the item on 6/9/04... then on 6/14, by the time I would have had the item from most any other vendor, I get an email saying that 'Unfortunately, by the time the order went through the fraud control and credit card verification process, the product ran out of stock.' That's almost a week later to verify a credit card?! You know I am not shopping here again. Can't lose a week of my and my client's time to find out they don't have the unit in stock.
"
"Their customer support is the worst I've ever seen. They wont even reply to a simple order status inquiry. Not once, not twice, not even after 3 nor 4 times, asking about what's going on. Their position was absolutely arrogant and had cost me a whole week! Let me explain:
A week ago, I've placed an international ordered for CSE-M35T-1B ($120.47 + plus shipping). All of the required details were supplied.
Notice that a minimum of $100 and a banking wire transfer was all that would be needed. How wrong was I.
After my 4th email inquiring about status, still not a word was heard from them. However, they did got my emails, because finally, they decided (instead of just dropping a line on an email explaining to the customer why would they do not ship the order) to change the rules altogether. Yesterday, they change the minimum amount from $100 to a ridiculous $1500. Check the original link on the google's cache.
http://216.239.59.104/search?q=cache:I6UAKgWix7UJ:www.shopperwiz.com/international_orders.asp+shopperwiz+%22We+are+now+shipping+internationally%22&hl=en
So, the claim that "We are now shipping internationally" seems to be a outrageous lie. Could they have increased the minimum amount for any international order into a billion dollars and still claim that they ship internationally?
The worst part is, that this must have been approved and/or endorsed by some higher manager, because they took the time and work to specifically change the webpage, *after* my last email.
They are just not honest (they cheat and change their own rules) and they do not respect their customers, period. "
"This was a software purchase. Delivery was prompt and received quicker than expected.
No Problems."
"I purchased an add-on card, relying on the apparently very thorough technical notes on ShopperWiz's website. When I received the card, it did not work in my model computer. I visited the manufacturer site to find ShopperWiz had left out a crucial model-dependency limitation. Since the problem was due to their fault, I asked three times to return the unit for something more suitable, but was ignored until I threatened a chargeback. Then they sent me their "customer agreement" in which they renounce all responsibility for the correctness of data on their website and told me they refused to accept the return. Do they have a right to set such terms? Certainly. Will I ever buy from them again, or recommend them to my customers? When hell freezes over. I will pay a little more (or not) to deal with a company with a more traditional return policy, one who values customer satisfaction more than making the quick buck.

"Price on product was very good. Shipped promptly. Arrived quickly but didn't work. Contacted via email about instructions for exchange for working product. Quick reply that they would let me know. Now, one week and three emails later. They have been unresponsive to repeated requests to resolve the issue with the broken product."
