"I ordered my cards on 11/29. It is now 5 days before Christmas and they are still in transit to the next facility....where that is....when I will get them....no one seems to know. Shutterfly will not provide any type of credit or reprint until after the holidays. These are CHRISTMAS CARDS! Sending them after the holidays is incredibly dumb.
I will never use them again."

I spoke with customer service on December 17 and December 19 to understand the delay in my order. On December 17 they told me to wait for two days and assured me my item would arrive within two days. On December 19 I contacted customer service again to let them know my order had not arrived. They told me to wait again, and if I did not receive my order by Christmas Day that they would give me a full refund. I informed them that I would need to purchase something else from another supplier prior to Christmas. I requested to speak with a supervisor and they said they would transfer me and then the conversation dropped.
As a point of comparison, I ordered a calendar on Snapfish on December 13, 2020 using standard shipping. The order was delivered on December 17.
This was my first time using Shutterfly, and I am extremely disappointed. I would not recommend ordering from Shutterfly. I have had good experiences with Snapfish in the past and would recommend ordering from them instead.

I went for the discount on Shutterfly. Never again. I needed this be here by the 19th, figuring 3 plus weeks in advance would be enough. Ridiculous."
"I recieved a discounted offer on something in my cart. I decided to buy it. I could not confirm the return address from my cart and rembembered my address had defaulted to an order to dads ex from last year. So I deleted my cart and reordered my order exact to confirm the correct address. Then the offer they gave me did not apply and the price doubled. I called customer service who refused to let me use the offer they sent me today. I did not order. Waste of my time."
"We (wife) ordered prints, they came with mistakes. I (husband) called back on behalf of my wife. I explained that they can just correct and send the order back to the same address. I verified with the address, email, cc # that I was authorized. They would not correct because my wife ordered and I am not her! My wife works extremely long days in the dental field wearing as spacesuit (PAP). Now she has to take time and call these folks, they, who are all about SHUTTERFLY not the customer As usual...these companies are okay with the customer being their quality control department! Find another provider! "

"I recently created a photo book on Shutterfly. The site was offering 50% off photo books. My price was 19.99 which included 20 pages of photos. There was an charge of $.90 for each additional page. Fair enough. When I ordered the book there were 2 additional charges. One charge was for a matte finish, the other was for 'storytelling'. It was late at night and because I had spent quite a few days working on the book I ordered it. However, the next day I got in touch with customer service to try to understand the charges. I was told I picked 'storytelling' style. I disagreed. I picked standard style and picked a theme of travel. These are 2 separate categories. I also did not pick a matte finish. On the other hand, I declined all upgrades that were offered at the time of checkout. Matte finish was not one of the upgrades. The representative insisted i had a storytelling because I picked a theme. I had her get on the website so I could show her how I picked standard style and that the theme was a different category and that nothing came up about an additional cost. Same went for a matte finish. After a very frustrating 15 minutes, she said there was nothing she could do about the charges because I picked storytelling (which I didn't pick!!). So buyer beware of hidden charges and awful customer service

"I am not the one to post bad reviews ever, however this one was pretty heartbreaking and I want to help others by sharing this. My grandmother went into the hospital with only 30% of her heart working near Christmas. I ordered from Shutterfly like I always do. This time I ordered a cross with my grandmother's picture with us on there. No warnings showed up so I ordered it. It came in very blurry but I did not have time to contact Shutterfly and get a new one before Christmas, so I gave the blurry one to my dad. He cried and I promised I would get him a new one. I called them the next day, a wonderful woman said that even she had issues with it when she ordered one herself and helped me figure it out. She said that I could contact them again before ordering to ensure the second one would be right which the person said it was perfect. I saved the chat of the person who helped me. It came in blurrier than the first one. I just called for help again when the rep and her manager refused to help me because I accidentally entered in a different email address (same name) on the order than the one on the account. I was heartbroken that after 10 years of many orders, they would not help me with something that means so much to me and my family. I am now on the search for a new company for my future orders. I ordered a personalized calendar for my uncle’s 72 y/o Bash, before I place the order I called the company to see if it will arrive by the 11th of this month.The customer service representative assured me that I would definitely have it by the 11th, I still have not received my calendar and today is the 14th.I was so disappointed not to be able to give my Uncle his personalized calendar.This morning I decided to call the company and to make a complaint I asked Pacifically to speak to management so I can address my complaint.A manager come to the phone and not once has she ever apologize on behalf of the company for not receiving my item in time. "I have used Shutterfly for over a decade spending hundreds of dollars a year and always making at least 5 books for the holidays. Three things have changed. 1: Their Customer Service is HORRIBLE! I am currently on their Chat and after 30 minutes am still 35th in line. 2: The quality of the books have diminished by 50% since the first year I used them. 3: They up-sell all the things that should be included in a book and was until a few years ago. You spend an immense amount of time creating a book only to have a slew of add on fees. Example: They brand the cover of your book with their logo, but for $9.99 they will remove it! This is my last year. I am moving on. Sad that they grew big and forgot to take care of their base."
"Save your money and use a duifferent company . I ordered a photo book for a Xmas gift and worked for days on assembling it to get it to be perfect .
I photo shopped the images, planned the layout, and experimented with various backgrounds, fonts and styles. The book cost more than $50.00, but much to my dismay it is a HUGE disappointment. The color intensity Shutterfly did not resemble the images they received, , the images they produced are blurry and the text I wrote for each of the images was eliminated.
PLease do not waste your money. Shutterfly is not for anyone who wants a professional product. Your time and your hopes will be smashed. Your time investment is worthless Shutterfly is product is worthy only of the trash!
