The standard channel selection represents a good selection of programming that most subscribers would normally watch. Occasionally, the stream has to "buffer" or refresh which may be the cable company or cell phone throttling the connection when used for periods greater than 1 hour. "

"We have not had cable for years and finally tired of satellite's many channels but we only watch 10 of them and their constant price changes. Canceled our DirecTV and went to Sling. Sling is ok, much cheaper and you are able to make some choices on channels received but would love to still be able to refine it. Unfortunately to receive the channels we enjoy we have to have both Blue and Orange channels. And again we only watch about 10 of them! I am also disappointed that we can not receive the prime channels live - NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX. We can not receive CBS at all, the rest only on demand. That may be a regional issue. We also have some times when Sling just drops out and we have to go back to choosing channel. I don't believe it is a wifi issue as all other devices still receiving signal. But all in all I would still choose Sling over cable and satellite."

"We signed on for Sling TV two years ago in July 2016 after getting very frustrated with the pricing and generally terrible customer service of Comcast. The price was right, and we still got most of the channels we wanted, with options for cheap channel add-ons and DVR (which we haven't added yet but are seriously considering).
At the same time, we got fiber internet, at 100 mbps. We thought that this speed is perfect for Sling, and while it is, we still get disappointed sometimes with the bugginess of Sling on Roku. Could be our Roku stick, but channels will freeze while loading, skip backwards a minute or two randomly, and will be skipping and buggy when going from one show to the other on the same channel a lot of the time. However, it rights itself pretty quickly.
Despite the minor bugginess, we'd take Sling TV ANY DAY over the other big cable providers. I'm constantly recommending to my friends, as long as they have a faster internet connection for that much streaming. Thanks, Sling!"
