"SlingTV for FireTV Stick has way too many dropped streams, freezes, etc. In addition, they toy with available programming in a cruel manner, making one think a show’s episodes are available and then offering only a few episodes or none at all. This will be the main reason I cancel unless they start offering all back episodes instead of teasing them out one by one, and even then not reliably. I wanted to like it more, but the longer I use it (many months), the more wanting I find it. Too bad, really."

"Overall Sling TV works well. I like to option of no contract and the ability to add on channels. I feel their user interface needs more work for ease of use. It is not a show stopper but a focus group approach with feedback from users would be of value to the experience. I also feel it needs more granularity in selecting the channels. We do not watch or ever use all the channels that are available in Orange or Blue. I am not sure who does. Many of the foreign language channels are of no value to us.

We are evaluating DirectTV Now at the same time. Personally the selection with DirectTV Now is more to our liking but they have a SIGNIFICANT buffering issue and it is not my connection b/c it buffers at 50Mbs as well as 100 Mbs.

Being new to cable cutting I would start with Sling TV to gain experience then decide where to go from there."

"Sling TV works very well and the picture quality is great. The only downside in my opinion is that you can't use the DVR function on all channels and only one viewer at a time is allowed. If these were changed it would be perfect for cord cutters. Not being able to record ESPN really stinks.

"We are in the process of moving from the city to a more rural retirement setting. There is no cable "up there"; just satellite. Any why should I pay for cable in two different places when I only watch one at a time? SlingTV.com was (and is) the perfect solution. We can watch a number of cable channels over the Internet from either location, and pay one low monthly fee. We can also watch from our tablet while traveling. Of course, we could have more channels and more screens at one time, but for more $$ and we don't need it.
