"On Monday last week I spoke to Norah Evans about 2 returns and to get approval. She quickly confirmed and promised to send me the 2 RMA's on the same business day. Later that afternoon I reminded her for still sending me the 2 promised RMA's. These were only sent the following morning which was very annoying to me because I was visiting my son in San Francisco and was traveling back that same day. Since I could not print the RMA's that day and post the returns at the post office I was forced to bring back home the return package and post it from there.

I then noticed there was a credit to my credit card account of USD 215.44 on 8/10/19 while I did not, until Monday evening, get any explanation from Smarthome on that. I therefore called today to discuss the detail of this refund because I felt that it should have been higher for the two returns. I spoke to Anthony who kindly clarified that I had only been credited, at the weekend, for one return (USD 215.44) and the second return (which was in the same package) was only credited on Monday and did not yet show up.

This episode could have been avoided if customer service would have sent me the two notices of refund with the detailed amount, which I only received from Anthony during our telephone conversation.

My feedback is meant to improve your customer service procedures which have either not been followed or are not set up in such way that the client is informed on a timely basis what the RMA to be included in the return is/are and thereafter to receive detailed information on what his/her refund is before any credit hits the account.

I sadly have to say that the Insteon products are way superior to the client service the customer receives.
