"I followed the directions to the letter but the device could not be adjusted after fitting. I tried with all my strength (I am a rather strong individual) but the mechanism was jammed.

Upon calling, I was told that this was a known issue and that they would send me out a replacement. True to word, I received the replacement after the holidays.

Last night I went through the fitting procedure with the new device. Again, I was extremely meticulous in following directions. Everything went very well until (again) it came to adjusting the device. This device, like the last, is completely jammed and I am unable to adjust it.

From my experience, this is a known quality issue with very high occurrence. In my case, 100% occurrence. My feeling is that for such an expensive device this level of quality is unacceptable.

I was hopeful for this solution, however, my hopes have been completely dashed."

The one thing I struggle with is effectively cleaning it, if you could help with that it would be even better (it's not clear to me if it's possible to do a soak cleaning, for example). That may be a limitation of any dental appliance, and I can mostly clean it with a toothbrush, but it can get pretty stinky.
