"I used them for one month. It was not worth it so I closed my account. I received a FINAL statement and paid the fee. That should be all.

One month later, they tried to charge me. I contacted them and any fee was removed. I was supposed to be placed in a special database to avoid having this happen again (according to them). Obviously, this was a lie. I received a notice that they charged the service fee to my credit card.

I can't believe they are still in business with such shady business practices. This is a SCAM company. You should avoid at all costs. Don't even think about the free trial or any promotions that they have. They want your credit card number to charge over and over hoping you don't find out about it.

Their buggy sign up procedure can and will sign you up more than once, but only one sign up qualifies for a free trial period. "Its expensive. It might give a very small discount to ship out but then its recoveredwith their monthly fee. So you’re really not saving. There is no way to reprint a label if it messes up in the printer to reprint it. You can retrieve the activity of it but not to reprint it. i don't like it and I will go back to buying straight from the usps website."

"We have been using Stamps.com for sometime now and they are wonderful to work with. I am able to print my own postage and if ever a problem with an error it is easy to correct. I am a very happy and satisfied customer."

"Probably a great program for individual users. I own a small postal store and have hundreds, if not thousands of clients. When mailing, I put my client info in the "Ship From" area. The "Ship From" stores the data for the next time my client comes in. The problem is that the "Ship From" data base is very small, and I keep having to edit, and write over previous clients to add a new one. This happens daily. I reached out to Stamps.com and explained the situation 2x but they did not make any changes. I sent the CEO a message on LinkedIN, and he did not respond. This area really needs an unlimited ability to add clients if it is intended for mom/pop shipping stores. I even told them I would be willing to pay a little extra per month for that ability. I am actually considering switching to a different shipping software provider because of this issue.

"I enjoy the convenience of being able to print stamps when I need them.. I really don't like the monthly charge that has to be paid every month.. It doesn't make much sense to pay for the stamps,, pay for the labels,, and supplies,, but then on top you have to pay a monthly charge of almost the price of a book of stamps.. For someone like me it doesn't really pay to use it because of this monthly fee.. and I only use it to print out stamps when I need them.. I don't do any shipping to speak of.. so what is the monthly charge actually for.. I think for people that use it very little,, this fee should be waived and not charged to customers that simply use this to print stamps once every other month or so.. the fee actually makes my stamps double the cost.. I don't think double the cost for stamps just for the convenience is really work the fee.."

"I continually have problems with the scale syncing with my computer. I try to weigh letters and it keeps telling me that it's not connected. I'll call customer service, they will get it working and then the next time again it stops. I end up going to the post office and getting things weighed. For all the trouble I go through, the monthly fee of $17.99 is too much. Plus I don't see us getting a discount any longer for regular stamps. I'm considering cancelling. I had better service from Pitney Bowes but they were expensive also on their fees, but at least their scale worked! "

"Been customer since 2001. The product has grown and continues 2 grow. I suggest to any entrepreneurs as the rates are more affordable than regular postal rates. Software is user friendly but easy to get rep on the phone 2 walk thru issues. Saves time going 2 and from post office if run busy organization & can request pick up as well. Can't beat it !!"

"I thought I was buying postage and didn't find out that my credit card was being charged a monthly fee of $17.99. When cancelled they offered a lower monthly fee of $7.89 to continue. I have no idea how they had me paying $17.99 in the first place!
This service may be fine for a huge company that does a lot of mailings but a deception and complete rip off for a regular person who mails a letter every now and then."

"I was a very early customer of Stamps.com (around 2004-2005) and have been using it ever since. I'm able to print directly onto envelopes, and print on labels for Priority mail envelopes and packages. My only trips to the post office are to walk in and drop off any packages. No waiting in line for customer service. My envelopes look professional and having the ability to print sheets of first class stamps is wonderful. The monthly fee is well worth all of the above (but I'm not advocating for them to raise the rate)."

"I periodically send gifts to friends in England. I am always confused when filling out the customs form at USPS.com. With Stamps.com my packager went to their international shipping center, and someone there filled out the form with information I had entered. The package got there, so this obviously works."

"It's really nice to NOT have to go to the USPS BUT this thing is constantly finding new bugs. #10 envelopes won't print with graphics in the return and Stamp line unless you create a new custom envelope, same size, and it works fine. Called support and ended up troubleshooting it for them myself but they haven't fixed the software.
Asked for some real Christmas stamps, CS told me the Post Office would't allow Christian Christmas (go figure) stamps but then I went down to the Post Office and bought, you guessed it, Christian themed Christmas stamps.
If you want to send an international letter, S.C won't print the postage on the letter but forces you to print a stamp with the value that you're forced to look up on the USPS site since the calculate international postage hyperlink doesn't work.
Other than that, it's fine. :)

"I would purchase all postage through Stamps.com if their rates were competitive to eBay. Why are eBay's Priority and International postage rates lower than Stamps.com? I purchased an International postage label on eBay for $68 that would cost $80 on Stamps.com. Also, Stamps.com allows 1 reprint of a label. If that one also has an issue I have to cancel the label and request a refund, then print a new one."
