"I ordered a pair of pants for a total of $73 dollars. The pants did not fit and so I returned them. They refunded me for $53!! They do not refund the full amount as shipping, tax, and the label that you print yourself for 6.99 gets taken out of the full amount.
How about you give me full amount back and I will physically pay the 6.99!

"I found an Outdoor Research parka that was listed at 65% off (which I never believe anyway, seriously who are they kidding?), but was actually 25% lower than other websites. I was tempted to purchase, so I came here for the reviews and was disappointed I'd have to pass because of the dreadful reviews. But it appears that most of the negative reviews were about returns. I took a leap of faith and went ahead and ordered. Shipping was fast (and paid). I just got my coat today. I seriously love it!!! It's not counterfeit by any stretch (as some reviews suggested). I do believe the reviews in that I may have had a hard time with returning this if I had to, but luckily I don't have to! My suggestion would be to order if you're quite sure you won't be returning the stuff. Know perfectly well what your size is before you order, go to the store and see if you like that product (or a similar one). I placed my faith in backcountry.com, and I assumed they would not run a subsidiary website that was scammy, and I'm really happy with my purchase!! Which is not to say you should discount the other 99% negative reviews. Maybe I got lucky! I'll probably buy from here again."

"Is there an option for zero star? This company should be shut down. Awful products. Money gets deducted from your payment when you return the product. They claimed "product returned as used condition" and deducted certain percentage from your payment. They send out defect products and blame you for it. Either that or they are confused with which return product belings to which person. It doesn't matter how great their pricing is, I strongly recommend not buying from this company. It'll be a hassle dealing with them. Not worth the time and $!!!!"

"Who isn't excited about a bargain? You get what you pay for. Ordered Mountainsmith dog cube and it came without the shoulder strap. It's a shoulder bag. Shopped around and S&S had the best price, great! Arrived with no strap. Called and wrote and they were happy to exchange. I wrote a note to Quality Control asking to make sure there was a shoulder strap. No shoulder strap in second delivery, no information from S&S. I called and talked to customer service again, and was told that it looks like they don't include the shoulder strap to the shoulder bag. I understand that this is basement clearance, but it seems odd that Mountainsmith would make two versions of this item, one with and one without a strap. Sure, I can make a strap out of floss and bubble gum, but the principle is that this bargain was a pooper considering the value of my time and effort obtaining, exchanging, and communicating with S&S. I was excited to find S&S as a new customer and told them so. They offered an apology, and I shared with them that I will most likely look elsewhere in the future. So let the buyer beware. If you purchase something here, make sure that you understand what you are getting, and that there is an optional interpretation of what may be optional."
"Order some sunglasses. When they showed up they were labeled as being the same as the ones in the description but looked nothing like the pictures (or the pictures from other web sites). In addition, there were fingerprints on the lens out of the box. I strongly suspect that these are cheap Chinese knockoffs.
In order to exchange them, I either had to pay them $7 or pay to send them back on my own. That's not acceptable for receiving a product that wasn't advertised.

"I have had nothing but problems with steep and cheap and I would highly recommend no one buy anything from them. I bought a beanie. It got lost in the mail. They refused to send in a request to UPS to search for the package. I wrote an e-mail asking for my money back because they refused to even put in an issue with UPS to find my order. The president or someone claiming to be him wrote me back, apologized and said he would send me another. I told him I just wanted them to put in an order so UPS would look for it. He said no, they will just send me another. Fine. I ordered some sunglasses. Didn't like them. Returned them. Only got $4 returned to my credit card. Wrote to ask why. Apparently they took the extra $15 to pay for the second beanie because a few weeks later UPS found the package and sent it to me. Should I have returned it, apparently. Given that I had told the president all I wanted was for them to put in an issue with UPS and he insisted on sending another, I thought the resend was in apology for having caused me so much trouble with the first one (several e-mail and several phone calls). On top of that, it's been months. If they wanted the 2nd beanie back or for me to pay for it I would assume they would tell me, not just take it out of some random return."
