"i was supposed to arrive tomorrow @9am but there was a complication with my flight rescheduling & i guess the guy i spoke to messed up with my rescheduling.. found out the guy never rescheduled it they replayed my audio and they were like he might have been confused bc "you said you would call back for a cheaper flight if you found one…" which is ridiculous cause i had specifically told him i was rescheduling it before my flight and needed to be back tomorrow for SORORITY recruitment. I had specifically said that I agreed to the $32 dollar fare difference...I had only said I would call back another time if i found something cheaper. Never said "NO." TURNS OUT, American airlines counted me as a no-show, meaning they NEVER cancelled my flight. I only FOUND OUT when I had called the night prior of my PRESUMED flight on Sunday asking for my confirmation so I could sign into my flight with American Airlines. MIND YOU, I paid the addition $58 for "travel protection" which is absolutely pointless, waste of time, energy, and money because fare differences still apply and customer service takes around2hrs+ to get ahold of you so if you plan on cancelling the night before don't expect to get the flight you saw online as they sell out quite quickly and you will most likely have poor options that have nothing to do with your desired booking date. WHEN TRYING TO GET AHOLD OF THEM, They said they had to call American airlines to reopen my flight, that I had to pay $100 to reopen my ticket. FINE. I needed to get to Tallahassee as soon as possible so I was willing to pay the $100. I was on the call for an hour or so, I had called again at 4 am the morning of my desired flight Monday, August 9th at 5am. I called at 4 am to see if there are any updated with american airlines, was told that they were still on hold with them. Called at 9am, no update. Again at 11am, no update. Got a call-back call from them around 5 pm, and was told the flight that I had spoken about with a previous representative for the 10th at 5am was no longer available. I have been on the phone with them, still am, and they can't find me a new flight. Been asking for the fare differences in the options they gave me and nothing. It's like they're using dinosaur computers at this company, because HOW IN THE WORLD AM I ABLE TO FIND FLIGHTS FOR TOMORROW MORNING ON MINE BUT CUSTOMER SERVICE CAN'T?! Then they say they will put me on a brief hold to see the fares, and come back with no fares..please, please, PLEASE someone tell me how that makes sense. Either this company has hired a bunch of INCOMPETENTS--actually, no, there is no other alternative, because that is exactly what it appears to be.
Don't ever waste your time booking a flight on this website, you might as well pay the extra $100-200 from a different site so you won't have to go in circles with customer service, lack proper communication.
I am currently speaking with an attorney because what they have done is a crime, and I have all the time stamps for all my phone calls. I would like them to play back every phone call and try to come up with an excuse because it appears they only can hear what they want to hear--selective hearing i presume.
I WISH, I WISH, I could include photos because I would attach all phone calls I had made so you could see how ridiculous their service is. Not only am I on the phone with these people for more than an 1hr but also waiting for them to serve you takes at least 2 HOURS. Then for them to resolve a SIMPLE TASK will take an hour. Don't bother, please.
I really tried to give this company a chance, I have bought a flight from them previously and had trouble cancelling my flight but had thought "hey, that was a one-time thing" but no, it's an every-time thing.
---I didn't think I would need to add additional things to this review, but I was just told that the flight I purchased cannot do rescheduling for early flights (despite me paying the $58 travel protection AND HAVING BEEN GIVEN THE OPTION TO CHANGE MY FLIGHT FOR A MORNING FLIGHT THE FOLLOWING MONDAY AT 5AM) It is AS IF THEY CHANGE THEIR TERMS & CONDITIONS TO THEIR OWN ACCORD.
I will be speaking to an attorney about this company and If I need to take extreme case with them, I will.

"DON'T DO IT. They WILL scam you, you WILL lose money, they WILL NOT care. I had to change my flight to include my sister who is too young (12) to add on via student Universe. They told me I could have a refund but gave me a $517.99 credit to use with American Airlines. I found a flight on AA's website that worked for us for $460.99 each and was excited when I found the same one on Student universe for the same price. I was going to call them to redeem my credit and schedule my sisters flight through AA (and call to tell them we were together).... well the lady rudely told me that flight didn't exist at Student Universe until I asked her to check again because I was LOOKING at it and had been for an hour. She then happened to find it and told me she could redeem my coupon and my remaining balance would only be $107.97??? Extra money for a cheaper flight?? They made me pay $625.96 for a flight that I could've purchased straight from the website ( and even American Airlines website) for $460.99! I was told that that was for new customers only.... yet I could purchase it on my own for that price but they charged me $110 on top of the $517.99 that I had already paid for a cheaper flight. Way to scam a broke college kid. What a pathetic company. Imagine getting the chance to march in the Rose Bowl Parade and being miserable about it because you chose to try a student friendly booking company. With my luck, the tickets will be fake too!"

Unfortunately, flight prices are dynamic and ever changing and travel protection does not cover voluntary cancellations, as stated in the terms and conditions. We've reviewed the logs and found our agent tried calling you twice after a disconnection, but was routed to voicemail, so she sent an email. In addition, you did not confirm the flight changes on the initial change you wanted to make, which is why the flight was not cancelled. In the end, we were able to assist you in finding an alternative flight which departed yesterday. Please feel free to send us a private message if we can help you with anything else. Again, we sincerely apologize for the communication issues you experienced and we thank you for your feedback.”
